25.01.2022 My find this week $15 from the op shop and bonus it works like a treat!

24.01.2022 Recycled timber and threaded rod plant stand.

24.01.2022 Im slowly starting renovations on my laundry. I have always wanted a laundry door with a window. But knew my hubby wouldnt be on board changing a door that is already functional. Anyway I was at the demolition place in town and fell In love with this door for $25. Only I knew I was on my own fitting it. I trimmed the top and bottom to suit, lined up the existing lock holes, re hinged and hung it all by myself before hubby got home. I then stripped it and repainted. Im very proud of my new skills!

24.01.2022 Before and after of this little beauty. I bought it off a friend to do up for my sons room. It was originally from the Cairns Police Station. Sadly the veneer was badly damaged but I found a old timber door that had the veneer peeling off from the buy back shop, I used it to replace the drawer fronts.

24.01.2022 Before and after

23.01.2022 It only took me about 5 years to get around to sanding, painting and upholstering these 12 outdoor chairs for myself. A huge shout out and thank you to my mate Pete for helping me paint with his spray paint compressor. I would have been there for days/weeks hand painting. I cant believe they are finally done!

23.01.2022 My latest lot of skulls ready for sale.

23.01.2022 I needed workshop doors, found and fitted by me with a little help. Not bad for $20 the pair.

23.01.2022 Something I just whipped up this morning for a beautiful baby boy named Tate. Welcome to the world little man! May there be many future fishing trips with your Daddy.

23.01.2022 After renovating the kids bathroom I needed a bench seat. After searching all of Cairns for something suitable with no luck. I made my own from a slab of aged Wattle and the legs are from clothing rack arms.

22.01.2022 Before and after.

21.01.2022 Log treasure box made by myself and a friend.

20.01.2022 It only took me four years but I have finally finished my day bed. Also attempted my first ever macrame and quiet enjoyed doing it. It took four coats of linseed oil to get the badly weathered timber looking great.

20.01.2022 Test tube cutting planters made from a very unique piece of timber cut in two pieces.

19.01.2022 I raided my bead collection to make some bead curtains as a finishing touch for my day bed. This is years of bead hoarding Im now down to only a couple of small jars.

17.01.2022 Before and after These super cool retro outdoor chairs for my new place. A lot of sanding off old paint, but I stuck with the original colour as I thought it would look great with the old boat decking teak arms I made for them.

17.01.2022 Before and after of this beautiful heavy old girl. Took much longer to complete than anticipated due to unforeseen circumstances.

15.01.2022 This little one is for sale!

14.01.2022 Two mango wood slab tables converted into one large table for the family boat. Striped, sanded and re sealed.

14.01.2022 I had to post these photos of a skimboard my son Jayden 13yrs made. Jay struggles a lot at school with dyslexia but he is so bloody clever in his own way. He doesnt need As and Bs to do well in life. Im a very proud Mumma, especially after he gave it to his little Bro Mitch for his birthday today. In the first photo he has clamped the tip to put a up turned lip in it. He then came up with a design to paint it. He has used a poly sealer used for boats to make it water proof and glass smooth. The whole process has taken a couple of weeks. Im just disappointed I didnt get a photo before they put the surfboard wax on it so you could the detail more clearly. He takes after his mum!

13.01.2022 Ok guys Ive been very slack with my posts and creativity in the last years or so, but Im getting back into the swing of making and creating things. I now have my own little workshop that a little bare atm but Im looking at buy some new tools soon.

11.01.2022 Before and after of this 100yr old wardrobe that I converted into a display cabinet.

10.01.2022 I made this reverse transfer picture wall hanging for a friend for a Xmas present. I took the photo at Yorkeys Knob Beach reversed it and printed it out on paper, then mod podge glued it to the timber frame I knocked up. Then slowly and painfully removed the paper off the back.

09.01.2022 Timber chopping board from off cuts. Not sure what kind of timber it is? Was told and I thought it was mango wood but after sanding it back I dont think it is?

08.01.2022 Christmas present for my mum

08.01.2022 Wedding Bull skull.

08.01.2022 With all this windy weather blowing my doors shut all week long, I decided to use this old piece of weather timber my hubby and boys bought home for me from a beach trip many years ago and make 2 door stops for my front and kitchen doors. Im very happy with the results, just a little disappointed the oil has darkened it a bit more than Id like, but Im sure it will fade back after a few weeks. Chain I found at the Portsmith boat yard, piece of old leather belt and the knocker was just something I found in my box of goodies.

07.01.2022 Before and After of this beauty. I stripped away years of old stain and lacquer to find stunning timber underneath (Tassie Oak) I believe.? Add some old retro vintage wallpaper to the back of the shelves, modernised it by painting to bottom sliders black and finished the timber with a few coats of Scandinavian oil.

07.01.2022 Wine barrel lid wall hanging with adhesive photo sticker.

06.01.2022 I gave this clothing rack a new lease on life. I forgot to get the original before photo but it was pretty dodgy looking white laminate. A couple of coats of charcoal paint and some doodling with a gold paint pen. I really enjoyed doing this project.

02.01.2022 Driftwood bedside lamp with these two pieces of wood that were meant to be together. Still looking for pieces for the matching lamp.

02.01.2022 New changeable wall art for our newly renovated dunny! The boys most likely laugh in the face of the rules as per usual. But no harm in trying!

01.01.2022 Before and After

01.01.2022 No before photo sorry I got stuck into it before I remembered. But one ugly ugly picture frame turned into a living planter box.
