25.01.2022 On Monday Sue Barnett from the Surrey Hills Historical Society gave a very informative and entertaining presentation to 30 of our residents and guests.Featuring some amazing old photos of very familiar places as well as well known historical families and some great memories for some of our residents as we saw some school photos from the 1930’s from schools they attended (in some cases only a year or two after the photos were taken ) The food by Gourmet Touch was fantastic ...and very much appreciated as it always is, the sausage rolls were a personal highlight but you couldn’t fault any of it and it was too hard to say no to the little deserts. We had a fabulous door prize, a Hamper so kindly donated by the IGA on Through Road that included some lovely wines and tasty treats. It was won by one of our residents (Sue) guest which was great. It was a great journey down memory lane and a fascinating look back and what was and reflect on what is now that sparked some great discussion and more than the odd childhood story. See more

12.01.2022 The Renaissance Living, Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser was a fabulous success with nearly 40 people attending and over 15 different cakes and treats supplied by our wonderful residents and their guests plus the fabulous catering by Cynthia from Gourmet Touch to ensure nobody left hungry. There were many games, raffles and prizes on the day as well as plenty of time for chat with friends new and old. With our donations, raffles and games we raised $970 on the day for Cancer ...Research which is a great effort. The Door prize, of a Large Hamper donated by Scott McLaren Pharmacy was won by Shirley, a guest of Kath Davern. The raise a cup game was sponsored by Coconut Home & Co, who donated a lovely gift bag with a scarf (perfect for the weather) a vase and various hand and beauty creams, which was won by another guest Liz Green. The Most Creative use of Blue/Yellow/fushcia competition was won by Faye who was a guest of Valrie Kollmorgan, Faye received a Small gift bag donated by Scott McLaren Pharmacy as well as a $20 voucher donated by Hills 20 Café The Raffle was for a $40 food voucher donated by Hills 20 Café and was won by Jo, who was a guest of Gen Gandolfo: Bake Off was won by Cath, a guest of Sue Davis. For her mastery of art of baking Cath won an apron and a kitchen utensil pack donated by Renaissance Living. A big thank you to all residents and guests that attended, especially those that bought along a plate and a very special thank you to Robyn and Robyn for their wonderful efforts in organising the event and ensuring it was such a success. If you were unable to attend this function, you missed a good one. But don’t worry there will be more events later in the year so make sure Robyn or Di have your e-mail address so they can keep you posted.
