If you are struggling with your mental health remember, conversations are such an important part of creating a happier and healthier mindset. It will go towards helping the volunteer firefighters STILL battling the Australian bushfires, often with no compensation and damaged equipment. People are putting themselves in danger and in debt just to help fellow Australians, the least any of us can do is our part no matter how small, Every little bit helps.... 7-7:45 am $10 pp 244 Kitchener rd Renegade oval (behind the pool) All welcome! 23.01.2022 Massive shout out to the @brothersjuniors Opens div 1 team for securing the Down syndrome charity cup yesterday! Defeating Albany creek 40-0 in what was set to be an epic battle against a couple of ex Australia/state of origin/broncos players, Sam Thaiday and Justin Hodges. The boys executed brilliantly in attack and were enthusiastic in defence holding the more experienced team at bay. - If you’ve been to our afternoon classes you would have met a few of these Larrikins. We couldn’t be more proud of their contribution to our community, their efforts this year so far in football, and the enthusiasm and culture they bring to Renegade Up the fish!
22.01.2022 Shoe boxes of love Two weeks ago we kicked off our shoe boxes of love program to help those all over Australia who have lost so much in the harrowing fires. The response from our renegade crew so far has been amazing! To those of you who have already donated, we cannot thank you enough for your support and generosity. ... For those who still wish to donate, there is still time! We will be collecting donations at Renegade until the 29th Feb. Just a reminder of how this works: 1. Grab an old shoe box (or shoe box sized box) and decide who you are going to donate to. 2. Write on the box who it is for (baby, teenager, grandparent, pet, etc.) 3. Fill the box with essential/ luxury items (see our original instagram post for suggestions). 4. Write a personalised note and pop it in the box so the recipient feels the love you are sending them. 5. Drop your unsealed shoebox to renegade by the 29th Feb.

Don’t waste money on non-essential luxuries this year when instead, you can contribute something small to those that have lost so much.... Shoe boxes of love ... is a volunteer run organisation that relies solely on the generosity of businesses and people, just like you, to help support those in need. With the devastation of the 2019/20 bushfires- your love & generosity is needed now more than ever. Throughout the month of February we will be collecting donations (both supplies and full shoe boxes) that will be personally delivered (by Shoeboxes of Love) to bushfire victims all across Australia. Here’s how you can make a difference: 1. Decide what age group and gender (baby, toddler, child, teenager, adult, grandparent, pet). 2. Grab an old shoe box and write on the top who the box is for. 3. Fill the box with essential and luxury items from the list provided. 4. Personalise you’re shoe box of love by writing a note to show your support, and add it to the box. 5. Drop off at Renegade Conditioning by the 29th February.

18.01.2022 The Big Marnz.... Thank you to one of our longest serving, most committed, and athletically gifted members for sharing a few words about her experience with us. Since I joined Renegade 4 years ago, I've seen many changes in regards to the layout and types of classes the gym offers. I can honestly say that the new class structure has been fantastic and has really improved my training. Every class has a strength component at the start and this is where I have seen the most im...provement in myself. The classes are now 15 minutes longer so we are training for 60 minutes instead of 45. My body has also appreciated the detailed warm up and stretch at the end. For what this gym offers, their prices are extremely affordable and I love the friendly atmosphere. I could not recommend this gym enough, so come down and join the team at RENEGADE!" Make sure you scan in and bring a towel. Although this does mean Bootcamp tomorrow morning and all classes Monday are called off.... If you have a personal training appointment booked before Monday 6pm please contact your personal trainer to reschedule any bookings on Monday. 17.01.2022 RENEGADE 6WC FEMALE WINNER A massive congrats to Grace for taking out this years title of the Renegade 6WC Female Winner! Grace lost 2.7kg and a ridiculous 6.8% bodyfat (talk about body recomp) in 6 weeks.... Graces main change over the challenge was revisiting her meal portion sizes and prioritising the organisation of her meals, what is in them and where they are coming from before time as well as a mix of strength training. Pilates and conditioning. Everything Grace did for the challenge is sustainable post challenge and can see her reap even greater results afterwards/leading up to her wedding next year At Renegade we pride ourselves on educating our challengers on how to achieve sustainable results to the point where they can make informed decisions and live balanced and fulfilling lifestyles as well as looking and feeling great post challenge!

16.01.2022 What do the new Covid-19 rules mean for Renegade? As of the latest press conference (22/3/20) it’s been declared that gyms and indoor recreational facilities will be among the businesses unable to operate while we as a country try to manage this pandemic. There is still a lot of ambiguity around the explicit details but we want to give you guys as much transparent information as fast as we can get it. ... As it currently stands: group training and general use of the facility will no longer be an option. We will be offering online programming and at home Workouts of the day in the as of tomorrow from the Facebook group Renegade group noticeboard (please jump on and request to be a part of it if not already) so that everyone has some exposure to coaching and the ability to share scores and engage as a community still, which is what we are all about. We will ask some questions tomorrow as to whether one on one training will be allowed to be offered at the facility. It is our hope that we can offer all current members the ability to participate in a weekly 1on1 sessions with a coach, but so far we are uncertain as to whether or not this falls within the rules. Membership fees that have already come out for this week will be carried forward to our first week back when we can resume business. We are certainly not going to ask anyone to continue their paying their membership fees, and know full well just how much these changes will impact so many people in our Renegade family. To anyone in our Renegade family who is doing it tough in this time, please reach out. We have an amazing community at Renegade and we as a team will always put our best foot forward to try and help eachother. However, We are truly touched to have already received a great show of support from several people in saying they’d like to have their memberships continue during this time as a way to help us overcome the economic challenges we face in the coming weeks. We cannot begin to thank these people enough and will commit to doing absolutely everything in our power to provide you all with as much interaction and value as humanly possible during this time. Our boy Dom lost an amazing 6kg and 5.1% bodyfat in 6 short weeks by making sustainable changes to his eating and lifestyle habits. 11.01.2022 GYMS RE-OPENING! Qld gov has called forward stage 2 restrictions being lifted tomorrow (Monday 1st) at midday! Which means we will be back inside doing what we love much sooner than expected! Not to say we havnt loved the great outdoors.... While in lockdown inside the gym has been having some maintenance and renovation work done and will not be suitable for non-renegade class and PT members until Friday. We are hoping to have the gym reopen and renegade classes back to (kind of) normal Tuesday at the earliest or Friday at the absolute latest whilst following the Fitness industry Framework provided. 11.01.2022 Should I Squat and Deadlift? Absolutely! But it’s complicated, let me elaborate... I would highly recommend having at least 1 variation of each in your strength training regime to help you practice the movement patterns associated with a lower body push and a hip hinge.... You don’t have to be a competitive powerlifter or some kind of super athlete squatting 2x your bodyweight to feel the benefits of practicing variations of these movement patterns. Learning to Squat and deadlift correctly has the potential to greatly improve your quality of life. benefits include but are not limited to: - Improving hip, knee and ankle mobility. - Learning to use breathing to expand your diaphragm and brace your core. - Improved longevity and posture of your spine. - Increasing special awareness and coordination. - Thiccccness (Quad, Hamstring & Glute hypertrophy ) - Stimulating CNS and regulating hormones - Increasing your metabolism The list literally just keeps going! Who’s the guy in the video? And how can I be a specimen like that? I’m glad you asked, thats @biffy87 and not that long ago Bryson suffered a spinal injury and since recovery he has been working hard on building a functional body and nailing the movement patterns as well as THRASHING his strength training and circuits. My point is he CAN lift heavier than the weight he is in this video but we choose not and focus on moving correctly and bracing HARD which in the long run will have MUCH greater benefits on his physique, health, longevity and athleticism. Baby steps! practicing small efforts every day will create the biggest changes. 10.01.2022 Sitting on the fence about joining us in our next 6 week challenge? These are Bryson’s before and after images from our last 6 week Challenge. His goal was not to lose weight but to change body composition. Using our flexible dieting approach he lost 4.8% body fat and only 0.1kg weight which is AMAZING ontop of getting a lot stronger and healthier... Using our challenge method we educated Bryson with the information to sustain his body composition changes and educated him to continue his journey for the rest of his life. 08.01.2022 RENEGADE IS BACK! We want to kick off sessions as soon as next week coz we’re sure our Renegades are eager to get back into the action! OUR GOAL IS TO ENSURE EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO TRAIN GETS TO TRAIN. ... To achieve this, and comply with the new rules of a maximum of 10 people at an outdoor session, we need expressions of interest to gauge who wants to get started right away and time availability. We will be running 45 minute sessions for the time being, and as many as it takes to ensure we can cater for everyone! Please see the times in the comment below and simply like any of the times that you would be interested in attending sessions. If you’re keen soon but not just yet, please let us know when we can expect to see you again. 03.01.2022 Happy Monday Renegades, family and friends! We just thought we would update you on the current status regarding the covid-19 virus and Renegade’s plan moving forward. We are lucky to be in our situation. Our gym experiences a minimal amount of foot traffic as opposed to other other training facilities, our classes are capped for participants to ensure quality which also allows for a low risk germ environment and creates a situation where it’s easy to stay diligent with cleani...ng. Therefore we are currently less likely to be effected by the covid-19 virus. Our members and their loved ones heath and safety are our #1 priority in this time of uncertainty. Remember this is not a time for panic this is a time for thoughtful preparation and consideration. Let’s work together keep our community and extended community safe from the spread of germs by: 1. Using the hand sanitisers before and after workouts located almost everywhere we look at the gym. 2. Bringing a towel and use it during workouts. 3. Staying home if you aren’t feeling 100%. (If feeling off eventuates into something more we are happy to stop your payments for you) 4. We will be taking extra cleaning precautions for the foreseeable future. Renegades are generally fit, healthy individuals with good immune systems. If you do contract Covid-19 it may not hit you too hard, but it’s projected that a lot of people will get it, therefore slowing down the process is extremely important so that our healthcare workers can cope with serious cases and have beds available for those in need. We appreciate everyone’s patience and support, we understand everyone’s stress and frustration and above all we love each of you and would hate for anything to happen to you or your loved ones so look after yourself and one and other, stay safe and wash your hands

01.01.2022 Lots of exciting stuff happening at Renegade this week! TIME TABLE CHANGES: You’ve spoken and we have listened! We have moved the Tuesday and Thursday Pilates & Stretch sessions start time to 4:30pm. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 4pm classes will now start at 4:15pm. This will make them more accessible for those coming from work ... NEW STRENGTH PROGRAM: This week we kick off our new strength program. After our last 12 week priming program, getting those bodies functioning, it’s time to get back into those big lifts right on time for our Renegade Elite Leaderboard! RENEGADE ELITE LEADERBOARD: Is a Strength, Endurance & Fitness testing scoreboard to get those competitive juices flowing. This is a great way to share our results, be inspired and to encourage our Renegade community.
