25.01.2022 I don’t know about you, but I’ve heard so much about this invisible mattifying powder from Rae Morris I typically used MAC studio fix or RCMA colourless, but I hate the powdery look despite only applying a very small amount - this product from Rae is amazing! 23.01.2022 You might ask what this post has to do with makeup...well not much really?! Except that I recently had the opportunity to paint this gorgeous face ... Brain Cancer kills more people under the age of 40 than any other cancer and more children in Australia than ANY other disease. Approximately 1,600 Australians are diagnosed with brain cancer each year and of them 80% will die. Survival rates haven't changed in 30 years. Currently there is no cure. @bickmorecarrie Carrie's Beanies 4 Brain Cancer Foundation aims to raise funds towards vital brain cancer research. This beautiful girl @ash.kav, whom I am lucky to call a friend, is running the @smhhalfmarathon on Sunday 19 May to raise money for @carriesb4bc. Like me, Ash hates running and she hates cancer. Over the past 4 months Ash has been training hard and working up the courage to jog 21km and most importantly raise as much as she can to help fight the dreaded C! In 2013, Ash’s mum was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour. Luckily, her Mum won the fight! Ash says I remember stepping outside of the elevator the first time I saw Mum after open brain surgery and seeing a donations box on a table. You never forget the feeling of looking at a donations box and wondering if enough money has been put inside it to save your family member. I am so proud to support her and @thegymfactory with their 24-hour treadmill fundraising challenge on 3rd May. 23.01.2022 COVID19.....Not a pretty post, but an important one. I want to assure you all that my kit is routinely cleaned, and before and after each client and/or product use. COVID19 or otherwise. To give you a rough idea of my processes after each use: * Pencils are sharpened and sprayed with anti-bac spray, * Brushes are washed with Sard anti-bac soap and then sprayed with 90% alcohol brush cleaner between each client/job so no one uses the same brush,... * Stick foundations and lipsticks sprayed with anti-bac solutions. * Powder-based palettes are sprayed with sanitiser after use to kill any germs. * My hands and kit are washed and sanitised and nothing is double dipped. *Generally, I ask you to all BYO lipstick anyway, as you need this for touch-ups. These have ALWAYS been my practices but I want you all to feel comfortable with what I do. If you have an appointment with me during this time, I will let you know as soon as I can if I am unwell and ask that you do the same by me. We all have people in our lives (I personally still have my grandmother around) that I want to protect them from this horrid virus.
