25.01.2022 3KM South of The Oaks, NSW. Aerial required here.

23.01.2022 Brief: High speed 4G connection to avoid NBN satellite and wifi 15 acres due to poor mobile connection and staff risk on this horse property. Cabbage Tree Rd Grose Vale. This is direct line of sight with aerial. Speeds not as good as could have been due to cell edge location.

23.01.2022 Few hundred meters from East Kurrajong school. Way too many trees to pop the 100Mbps mark.

22.01.2022 NBN Satellite area, end of Ashtons Rd Grose Wold. This required an aerial for stability. Tough site, cell edge and no line of sight.

19.01.2022 Colvin Place, East Kurrajong. This is on the roof no aerial. With an aerial this would be 120 Mbps minimum.

19.01.2022 New record! Somewhere in Bilpin...............:)

08.01.2022 This post is for all of those in areas where the only option is NBN satellite, or you have very poor/no mobile signal (Mt Lagoon, back parts of Berambing and lowlands in dips near the river). I will have told you Starlink is coming. In recent days details have emerged. The price is not for the faint hearted. To buy the gear is about $900. The monthly cost is $180. These prices are the Aussie Dollar equivalent of the USA costing. Actual price in Oz is not available yet. Speeds... are 150Mbps down and 25 Mbps up with an experience much faster to download movies and the same time as decent ADSL to download a webpage. I expect the speeds to increase to at least double over the next 2 years. Downloads are unlimited. To all in Mt Tomah, Berambing and places in the lowlands affected by heavy frosts fear not. The dishes are heated. The systems can be self installed, however I suggest you get a decent job done for such an investment. Ethernet cable from the dish is 30 M long. It costs a massive amount for the government to supply satellite NBN and Fixed Wirless connections. I will not go into it here. The point is there will be incentive for the government to subsidise Starlink costs and ditch Skymuster all together. In the near future there will be 2 Starlink competitors also. This will provide downward pressure on costs. I am on the beta trial list for the area. I have been told I will get a system this summer. I will provide details when this happens. I expect this to be available in late spring or winter next year.

07.01.2022 Bells Rd Kurrajong, no aerial.

03.01.2022 Berambling Crest, Berambing. No aerial.

02.01.2022 Near The Bowlo, Kurrajong Heights............ (sorry about the gunk on the screen (tough day at the office).
