18.01.2022 This is Dennis, one of our public health PhD students who has been supported by the Flinders community through the Matthew Flinders Scholarship. Located in Renm...ark with Flinders University Rural Health SA, Dennis arrived from Ghana to commence research into health care in the aged disability sector earlier this year. When support from his family in Ghana was no longer available due to the impact of COVID-19, Dennis was left without funds to pay for rent or food. ‘I had no immediate answer to how I could meet my daily needs,’ says Dennis. ‘I worried about how I could obtain toiletries and food.’ Thank you to the Flinders family of alumni, staff and friends who supported Dennis during this time through the Matthew Flinders Scholarship.
