20.01.2022 THE DREADED START OVER While I'm no stranger to training and regular exercise, taking some time off my own training this year has had me secretly shitting myself at the thought of having to 'start over'. I love feeling fit, strong and powerful, however having not lifted a barbell for more than a few months I was well aware I wouldn't feel my best immediately back into training.... I also knew I needed to check my ego at the door and just start, as I'm certainly not going to start feeling strong like this gal again by anticipating the struggle to get there. I've been back training in the gym the past 2 weeks since getting the all clear, and already I feel amazing! The fear of feeling weak or unfit has been superseded by rush of post sweat endorphins racing around my body! We all know the positive effects regular exercise can have on our physical and mental health, though it spins me out just how powerful that feeling really is! . From your gal who was fretting the 'start over' not more than a couple weeks ago, my advice to you if you're feeling the same, or a little lost in your own fitness journey, is to JUST START! Commit to just one session! Pace yourself. No need to go balls to the wall. Just move! Suddenly 1 session becomes 2, those lifts get stronger, your heart holds out a little longer, your discipline builds, and before you know it you'll be back feeling strong again, inside and out! 01.01.2022 MAKING HAY... IN ISOLATION Since leaving Aus it’s been a dream of mine to branch out more into the online space I’m really fortunate to already coach a number of incredible women online, & to have continuity in my work regardless of where I am in the world, however for so long I’ve been limited in how many clients I can take on online balancing my time between face-to-face clients at the gym & working as a Key Leader at lululemon left little time to focus on growing... an online community until now. *Cue COVID pandemic lockdown* These past few weeks of lockdown and isolation have given me the much needed time to take a step back & reflect on my vision, allowing me to re-structure my service offerings, customise current client programs for their at home training, & *cue drumroll* (finally) launch my personal coaching app!!! Nothing like our whole world shifting on its axis to give you the kick up the bum you need to quit scrutinising the fine details, imperfections & hesitations & just go for it! I’ve been working on this for so long and can’t tell you just how good it feels to finally bring my vision to life! I‘m feeling very grateful for this gift of time and opportunity to act. I’m also incredibly thankful for my existing clients for continuing to trust in me through this time, and for all of the supportive people in my life who have encouraged this venture, and/or have just checked in from time to time to make sure I’m not feeling too lonely & isolated! I’m beyond excited to level up the service I provide to my current clients, and to open up for new coaching enquires! ---- More on that in a coming post!
