A certif...ied reptile relocator, Phill helps to rejuvenate injured reptiles, including some of Australia's most iconic species. We had a great time filming with Loki, Severus, Snuggles, Thelma and many more of Phill's beautiful creatures. We got some amazing footage and the snakes were so calm and friendly. 01.01.2022 It's that time of year again.. what do dugites and tiger snakes look like ?.. and what are the differences between them ?. This is just a quick venomous snake identification that can be seen from a distance. I advise not to get too close. The first five are of dugites (pseudonaja affinis), note the small head to the size of the body. The body is long and slender They also vary in colour as the second picture shows. The last two are hatchlings.. note the dark head.. The next... four are of tiger snakes (notechis scutatus) caught locally in the southwest note the larger, more defined head to the size of the body. The tiger snake is a robust looking snake in comparison to a dugite. The majority of tiger snakes I have caught in the local area do not have prominent stripes but still have a bright yellow underbelly.. the last pic is a tiger snake in defensive posture.. feel free to contact me on 0416 933 822 for any questions, k9 avoidance training or relocations See more
