25.01.2022 Massage and circulation. Blood circulation is one of the most important functions in the body. It supplies oxygen to the brain and other organs. Its what makes our bodies work. Our muscles need blood to function properly too, yet good circulation can become increasingly difficult as we age. ... Massage therapy can help with this - getting the flow of blood back to limbs, to help get them moving. Click the message button or book your massage online at www.resolvemassage.com.au

20.01.2022 Heard of TEXT NECK? *Looking up as I type this* Looking down at your phone for prolonged periods can add around 30kg in force to your neck and surrounding muscles. No wonder I see so many people with sore necks, shoulders and upper backs. Looks like Text neck is real!

11.01.2022 I hope this becomes a reality. Caring daily for someone with a disability, illness or medical condition is an important responsibility, but many family members are thrust into the position of primary carer with little or no experience, and not only face a huge emotional toll, but the prospect of forgone income and no superannuation. Even when long term carers no longer provide care, their chances of finding employment are poor, and they will rely on some form of income support for a very long time after they have exited the Carer Payment. Those who do return to paid work have still forgone years of superannuation contributions with compounding interest.

11.01.2022 Awesome to be massaging here at Run for the Firies! Good luck to everyone currently out there and the table will be waiting!!

10.01.2022 This week is National Palliative Care week. One of the great myths about palliative care is that it is only a synonym for end-of-life care. It is so much more than that. It gives people the chance to live as well as possible, for as long as possible.... Palliative care helps people living with a life-limiting illness to manage pain and symptoms to ensure their quality of life is maintained. Palliative care identifies and treats symptoms that may be physical, emotional, spiritual or social. Here’s to the amazing dedication of all those people working and volunteering in palliative care across Australia!

05.01.2022 I often get asked.... When should an ice pack be used as opposed to a heat pack when treating an injury or muscle soreness? Well, heres the answer my friends!... The case for ICE Ice should be used for acute pain or a new injury that is causing swelling/inflammation. It will help numb pain and reduce inflammation. Note: Do not use ice for muscle tension and spasms, as it can make each of these worse. The case for HEAT Heat should be used for chronic pain or an injury that is older than a day. It will help relax muscles and soothe stiff joints. Note: Do not use heat for acute injuries because it can increase inflammation and even delay healing. Of course its not always as simple as that, but its a good place to start! - Andrew

05.01.2022 Today is International Day of Happiness! But what does that mean? Well, Im taking it as a chance to be grateful for the opportunity to share the benefits of massage with so many people.... 03.01.2022 Im not sure about you, but it seems that summer refuses to go quietly... What do you do to embrace the change of season?

02.01.2022 Often when I see a new client I hear the words I dont sleep very well. Massage can help, because it helps our bodies produce serotonin, which is needed to produce melatonin - which influences the sleep stage of our circadian rhythm. So book your massage today and be on your way to better sleep.... Click the message button or book online at www.resolvemassage.com.au

02.01.2022 If you have an aging parent or loved one... Winter means a higher chance of slips and falls outside, but inside the house can be just as dangerous, especially as we get older. These 10 simple steps can help safeguard your bones.... 1. Clear your floors of clutter and any items that you could easily trip over, including loose wires, cords, and throw rugs. 2. Keep stairways, entrances, and walkways well lit, and install night lights in your bedroom and bathroom. 3. Clean up spills immediately. 4. Wear rubber-soled shoes for better traction. Avoid walking around in socks. 5. Avoid having to climb or reach for items. Keep the things you use often in easy-to-reach cabinets. You might also purchase reaching and grasping tools to get at difficult-to-reach items. 6. Add grab bars to your tub, and use nonskid mats on bathroom floors. 7. Be careful when pets are nearby. Tripping over a pet, most often a dog or cat, is a common cause of falls. 8. Talk to your doctor about whether any medications you are taking can cause dizziness, affect balance, or have other side effects that might make you more prone to a fall. 9. Find physical activities, such as tai chi or yoga, that can improve your balance, coordination, and muscle strength. 10. Have your vision checked regularly and keep your glasses and/or contact lens prescription up to date.
