03.01.2022 I’m at a loss as to describe this year. My eldest started kindergarten this year which was all very emotional for me. Mothers in particular always tell you how quickly they grow up and to cherish every moment. It feels like if you blink, you’ll miss it. COVID happened and I missed out on doing parent help at kindy and visiting loved ones. I’m very grateful WA has remained largely unscathed by the virus so far, just a little sad that those kind of moments can’t be recreated.... I started my business during COVID and it’s been an absolute blessing. Having my own business has always been a goal and my only regret about it is not starting it sooner. Though I’ve only played a small part, some of my clients have; Landed a Level 7 position in a Perth hospital Landed a spot in a Grad Program at a highly competitive hospital Landed a role they love after a big break from employment Landed interviews in Child Protection and progressed to pools Moved from the private sector to a government role and vice versa and more Helping increase my client’s confidence and reducing the overwhelm in the application process has been a real highlight for me. Hearing from my clients that they’ve landed an interview or been offered the role literally puts a spring in my step for the rest of the day. I am so proud of all of my clients for having the courage and tenacity to pursue what’s important to them. 2021 may not be all that we want or expect with all of the unknowns and apprehension about what the future holds during this pandemic. My hope for you is that you’ll set some audacious goals and give them everything you have regardless. Even if you don’t reach the moon, you’ll be that much closer for having harnessed the courage and discipline required. You might just reach further than you ever imagined was possible for yourself and your family. Whether you’re out celebrating tonight, or at home with restrictions, I want you to know I see you. I see your struggles, I see your hopes, I see your strengths, I see your weaknesses, and all of the possibilities that you are. May 2021 bring you joy, courage, love, friendship, community, generosity and family.
