20.01.2022 After the success of opening Retford Park for the October long weekend, we are again reopening the House and Gardens across November and the first weekend of December! The garden is a wonder to walk through at any time of the year, but Spring is a particularly special time to visit with an array of colour starting to bloom. On the 7, 8, 14 and 15 November, Retford Park will also be part of the Southern Highlands Arts Trail, where you can view artworks from the Artists in the ...Round Yard, a well-established group of artists based at Retford Park. On these dates the garden will remain open until 5pm and the exhibition is free with garden entry tickets. Available is Garden Visit tickets and House Tour + Garden Visit tickets. 15.01.2022 On 14 and 15 November, Retford Park will be part of the Southern Highlands Arts Trail where you can view artworks from the Artists in the Round Yard, a well-established group of artists based at #RetfordPark. Last weekend over 300 people visited and enjoyed the exhibition. One of our stand-out spaces used to exhibit pieces is the Round Yard - ‘a beautiful circular building with timber trussing that was built as a horse lunging ring during the proprietorship of the Hordern fa...mily in the late 19th century.’ Thank you to John Swainston for capturing this beautiful image of the stunning roof. On these dates the garden will remain open until 5pm and the exhibition is free with garden entry tickets.
