23.01.2022 Thank you Kaylene from North Hobart for your review on Waverley Park, Bellerive Reviewed Winter, 2020: It only takes 10 min to drive from Hobart to Waverley St (Bellerive), and reach the well-marked entrance to Waverley Flora Park. This is an excellent place to relax and enjoy a short walk or get a good view of Hobart from the eastern shore of the Derwent River. https://reviewtasmania.com/walks-hikes

13.01.2022 An absolute must see and do on your adventures in Tasmania is to visit the West Coast Wilderness Railway. The WCWR is a reconstruction of the Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Company railway between Queenstown and Strahan. A beautiful journey on board a heritage steam train through Tasmania’s wilderness, soaking in magical scenery and learning history’s tales. A wealth of knowledge at the Railway Mueseum where you can get up close with the historic engines, carriages and the people keep them rolling. Enjoy a great coffee at the cafe and so much more. Visit www.reviewtasmania.com/wcwr for more information and link to book tours and adventures.

13.01.2022 The forty-spotted pardelote, rare to see. We were fortunate today to see a few birds @inalanaturetours. We spent time with local guide Cat, who was very knowledgeable and passionate. Great Day on Bruny. Stopped into @naturallywellwithjo @getshucked_seafood @brunyislandcheese on the way

09.01.2022 Blue Lagoon Oyster Farm. 45 Minutes from Hobart. Lovely Day out to visit Boomers Bay & Marion Bay (near Dunalley). The only farmgate in the state to cultivate and sell the unique native Tasmanian flat oyster. The Outlet also has the beautiful Pacific Oyster & the Tassie Gold Pacific Oyster. Minutes from the Oyster Outlet is Pheonix Farm & Hell Fire Gin Distillery.

06.01.2022 Thankyou Gay & Len from Salamanca for sharing your review of Russell Falls. We had previously purchased a National Parks Pass for the car, it cost $49 for a senior 2 year all parks pass. At 9am we left Hobart for Russell Falls. It was a fresh morning and the Gerry Fog was rolling down the Derwent Valley. It was quite mystical. The morning was mostly foggy all the way to the falls.. We arrived there at 10.30. The Reception Area was welcoming and one can purchase tickets. The...re is a cafe, gift shop and toilets. All very clean. We started on our walk to the falls. It was a very easy 10 minute walk on a paved footpath suitable for wheelchairs. We walked past many Tall Swamp Gums and other lovely flora. We actually saw a few pademelons grazing. The footpath followed the fast flowing creek, and every now and then we looked for platypus in the pools, but sadly didn't see any. The sight of the falls was magnificent. We then climbed many steps to reach Horseshoe Falls, about 20 minutes, certainly not wheelchair friendly. Absolutely beautiful. We then left the Mount Field National Park and headed to New Norfolk where we had arranged to have lunch at the Quilted Teapot. A lovely little cafe that also sells quilting material. We had a magnificent day. I should mention that we were well kitted out with jumpers, hats, gloves and good walking shoes, as the temperature was about 2 degrees.. See more

03.01.2022 Numerous times a day I look up at Mt.Wellington, usually hiding in clouds at this time of year. It’s always a nice surprise when it looks clear with a bit of snow on top. #mountains #tasmania #hobart #travel #mtwellington
