22.01.2022 We picked up a property recently that didn't have a smoke alarm compliance certificate in the handover pack, because it had never had a smoke alarm compliance inspection. This has been sorted and the owners, tenants and Revolve Property now have peace of mind. Got me thinking that bushfire season is here, and with the entire state looking rather dark pink in this map - its a pretty good time to remind everyone to be careful, consider the high potential of fires and loo...k out for one another, our pets and the wildlife. 21.01.2022 Its heating up in Brisbane! 2/3 properties I have inspected this week have pools, and nothing beats an Aussie pool party. Now here comes the fun police... Are you aware of the responsibilities for both landlords and tenants when it comes to pool safety? Did you know you could be in breach of your tenancy agreement if you have a portable pool in your back yard? Your property manager isn't being a jerk when they ask you to take it down, and we feel awful breaking this news t...o you at an inspection especially when you or your dog are mid cannonball. If you want to put in a portable pool or spa, best to check in with your property manager or landlord about obtaining permission as well as ensuring that the pool complies with the pool safety standard and obtain all required building approvals. I've been busy this morning picking up 4 new properties to manage from landlords who have made the switch and are excited to have just 1 point of contact. Many landlords I talk with don't realise how simple it is to switch over and feel overwhelmed by the process, so I wanted to put it out there for other landlords feeling this way - there is a notice period within your Property Occupations Form 6 agr...eement which most often is 30 days. You can sign with another agent at any time and your new agent then works with your current agent to arrange a hand over. Aside from sign up with a new agent of your choice - there is nothing else for the landlord to do, except look forward to the change you are looking for.
