23.01.2022 Ronan having a dig, a chin and run ... He's a Woolly Coated Cashmere. Very rare and difficult to manage "throwback" fur type, with a gene modifier on the hair extension. The hair needs to be clipped off or carefully cut off twice a year as it doesn't break like normal cashmere fur. Does make gorgeous fought textured wool tho. He's enjoying his run and rubbing his chin on everything to scent it. At Reynella Rabbits July 2020. :)

09.01.2022 For those interested in showing rabbits at Club Shows, Royal Shows or interstate shows. The National Ring Register can be found online on the ANRCI website, along with the rabbit Stud names too. I registered mine several years back and it is RIVERFIELD (relates to Reynella and Field River) - but for those interested in showing rabbits, you can register a Stud name through any of the local rabbit clubs. Providing they have friendly people on their boards who are willing to play by the rules and be nice (not always guaranteed unfortunately).

08.01.2022 And this one, territorial spraying... By Silus. Purebred Plush Lop bred here at Reynella Rabbits.

07.01.2022 https://youtu.be/0YRLtqYZzHE Anyone who says rabbits aren't smart has no idea about their mega powers! Sentient, intelligent beings that deserve so much more than tiny little wire bottom cages as per the approved animal welfare standards in the USA. The requirements here in Australia are somewhat better. They are always required to have - 1. A clean hutch... 2. Enough room to easily stand all the way up on their back legs. 3. RSPCA says three hopping lengths for length, but I have found at least one metre long is the minimum cage size for their best comfort. 4.Fresh food and water always on hand, especially Oaten Hay roughage and quity pellets (essential). They aren't good for toddlers ever, at all. So people wanting a rabbit, for a toddler, please re think your plan. Rabbits scratch hard, and they can also bite on occassion. A toddler can be inclined to poke their eyes, squeeze them and drop them. They also aren't good for young kids unless the pet is predominantly FOR THE ACTUAL PARENT. Kids get sick of them almost immediately, within two weeks and then the ongoing chores can be a resentment from parent to child and child to parent infinitum. That said.... The bunnies in this video are so cute. They aren't mine but I've seen mine do many similar tricks.... Clever little buggas ..... They can make great family pets if - *The entire family loves the bunny and includes it as a family member and there is a designated feeder and cleaner etc. *They get plenty of room to RUN, DIG and PLAY. Without scary big dogs and other threats. *Kids should always be supervised. I have some 5 X little Blue Eyed Whites available looking for their purrfect furrever homes right now. I also have purebred rex rabbit baby bunnies from Malvina Lakes decendents lines (Charlie). Some are showable. Call me if you have any queries. PH 0433392825.

01.01.2022 This is interesting... Reading up on rabbit diseases and how to prevent them .... This one says fruit trees, pine and willow trees amongst other can assist.... Coccidiosis - Branches and leaves rich in tannin (willow, hazelnut, oak, ash, fruit trees, eventually pines) are excellent in preventing coccidiosis. Before a rabbit is given a twig to chew, it is important to check that it’s picked from a tree that is not toxic to rabbits. Furthermore, the tree must not have been exposed to chemicals or pollution from busy roads. http://www.medirabbit.com///Protozoal_diseases/Cocc_en.htm
