23.01.2022 General notice to members an families..Gippsland Region. We will be hosting an end of year BBQ (sausage sizzle) an social gathering on Sunday 20th December at the Wooden Park Elgin St Morwell starting 11am. We are asking $10 per family to assist with providing the day. There will be a visit from Santa Rhee for all the kids..(an some adults apparently.)... There will be one last chance for a training session an skills development for 2020. Its been a very tough year folks so I hope we can all pull together an help RHEE BUILD an RHEE PAIR for 2021. There have been some very dedicated students that inspite all the difficulty have shown outstanding endurance an perseverance and have maintained consistent training in either limited public classes or park training with equally dedicated instructors an seniors.. To acknowledge these outstanding efforts.. as a token of appreciation I will be holding a free Kup grading for those students that have been dedicated and trained with their instructors an seniors during this time.. Come along participate.. train do your best and achieve The kup grading will require full uniform an runners as it will be outdoors. Any relevant social distancing measures will be in place (if required) an we ask that all members an visitors assist us in maintaining these. Drinking water... bread. 19.01.2022 ATTENTION ALL GIPPSLAND REGION STUDENTS: Due to the upcoming COVID-19 lockdown coming into effect at midnight Wednesday 5/8/2020, we will again unfortunately ha...ve to close our Gippsland Region Dojangs. We will hopefully be able to resume training mid-September, pending government restrictions. In the meantime, at home practice your techniques, practice your patterns, do some exercise & stretch and improve your flexibility. ALSO During the lockdown I will resume the Rosedale Dojang Live sessions on the Rhee International Taekwondo Facebook page at 5:30pm Mondays. 14.01.2022 Branch Closures After discussions with Master Rhee and the updated recommendations by the Victorian Government we unfortunately are suspending all classes at Rh...eeTKDVic Branches in the Central (Melbourne) Region as of now. It is recommended that other Victorian Regions follow suit. This is unfortunate but the only responsible decision that can be adopted given that all non-essential activity is to cease, including church services and school classes. Melbourne University Branch has already closed, Upwey Branch, Mentone and Caulfield North Branches, which use school or church facilities, are now joining Melbourne University in suspending classes until Government reccomendations say otherwise. We may consider our training as "essential" but this does not mean that we have to gather together increasing the risk to our family, friends and others. We encourage all students to continue personal training and to refer to the RheeTKDVic website (rheetkdvic.com.au) Members Area for ideas. We will also endeavour to post individual training suggestions here on Facebook too. Stay tuned.

11.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, Just to advise that our TRARALGON branch will recommencing training on WEDNESDAYs ONLY as of 24th June. Given current restrictions being a max of 20 attendees to the hall proper it is of the utmost importance that you book a place prior to attending..this should be done via personal message to Senior Regional Instructor MARK MARTIN committing to your attendance all students and visitors must sign an attendance sheet each lesson..... Those parents that normally stay and watch please be advised that we must allocate facilities to members on the floor propper and you may be required to return at end of training session.. New members will be welcome however must book their attendance prior to attending as there may not be enough allocated space as per current COVID-19 restrictions Your understanding and cooperation is much appreciated.. On your back, hands under your butt, leg raises x 15 (green belt and above x 25). Horse riding stance: 20 x high block 20 x outer forearm block 20 x inner forearm block Ready stance, big circles with your hips, 20 seconds. Ready stance, stretching over to right, hold 10 seconds, over to left, hold 10 seconds, then repeat. Sitting stretching 1 minute. From right back stance, moving forward turning kick, stepping turning kick x 10 then turn and repeat. From ready stance, double side kick (one low, one mid section) out to the side x 15 sets each side. From horse riding stance, side stepping knife hand strike (last two movements of Do San Hyung) x 40 strikes. From right back stance, moving forward front kicks x 10 then turn and repeat. Into horse riding stance, hands out to the side at shoulder height, palms up and hold 1 minute (green belt and above 1 & 1/2 minute), if hands and/or elbow drop below shoulder level, do 10 push-ups then resume position. Have a drink. Won Ho Hyung, twice. ( lower belts either 4 directional or Chon Gi Hyung, twice) Choon Gun Hyung twice ( lower belts any other pattern you know twice).
