24.01.2022 RHEE TAEKWONDO: IDEAS FOR ATTRACTING MORE STUDENTS. (by Regional Master Instructor Tom Craig) In order to attract more students into your school it is importan...t to know why people join in the first place. The following letter I found on the internet will explain things far better than me. ___________________ LETTER FROM A PARENT: One of my friends asked "Why do you pay so much money for your kids to do martial arts?" Well I have a confession to make - I don't pay for my kids to do 'Martial arts.' Personally, I couldn't care less about 'Martial arts.' So, if I am not paying for martial arts, what am I paying for? - I pay for those moments when my kids become so tired they want to quit but don't. - I pay for those days when my kids come home from school and are "too tired" to go their practice but go anyway. - I pay for my kids to learn to be disciplined. - I pay for my kids to learn to take care of their body. - I pay for my kids to develop confidence. - I pay for my kids to learn to work with others and to be good team mates. - I pay for my kids to learn how to deal with disappointment, when they are not promoted to their next Belt and have to work harder to achieve it. - I pay for my kids to learn to make and accomplish goals. - I pay for kids to develop a healthy self-esteem. - I pay for my kids to learn that it takes hours and hours and hours and hours of hard work and practice to create a champion, and that success does not happen overnight. - I pay for the opportunity for my kids to make life-long friendships. - I pay so that my kids can be in a training hall instead of in front of a screen... ...I could go on but, to be short, I don't pay for martial arts - I pay for the opportunities that the martial arts provide my kids with to develop attributes that will serve them well throughout their lives and give them the opportunity to bless the lives of others. From what I have seen so far I think it is a great investment!

14.01.2022 We're back! As restrictions ease Rhee Tae Kwon-Do Training is back up and running. We've organised several midweek and weekend outdoor training sessions. Existing students please email us or contact your branch instructor for locations and times. New students are welcome. If you were planning on giving Rhee Tae Kwon-Do a go before the lock-down, or just eager to get active and moving again, get in touch.

12.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE for Rhee Tae Kwon-Do Members and Parents Samford Community Centre is allowing us back into the hall from tomorrow night (WED 10th June) so our scheduled Saturday outdoor training sessions at John Scott Park will stop as of now. Indoor training will revert to our usual times.... Samford Community Centre Hall School Rd, Samford Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:00pm Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any issues or questions. Please note we will still be following social distancing and hygiene requirements. Until told otherwise, members are to train in shoes for all Indoor Sporting Activities as part of COVID-19 safe requirements.

07.01.2022 I just wanted to congratulate all Brighton students on a successful and enjoyable Action Day last Saturday (19th August). I had two 1st Kups successfully promot...e to Black Belt on the day which was great to witness. We had our customary pizza night on Monday (21st) to celebrate and will be looking at our other coloured belts through the next week or so for some more well earned promotions.
