24.01.2022 HI everyone TOTAL FIRE BAN THURSDAY. Take care and have a plan.
23.01.2022 Rheola Firefighters were called to a Reported Bushfire at Inkerman near Moliagul this morning around 6:40 to support Bealiba. Firefighters attended the station and were preparing when the response was cancelled. Fires always look worse at night and people are very alert and will ring in all fires they see. ... So remember if you are burning off please register your burn with our call takers. Phone 1800 668 511 (Please save this number to your phone) This is better than relying on smoke signals. Notifying us prevents unnecessary response and keeps us home safe with our families.
23.01.2022 Rheola Fire Fighters attended a house fire today at McIntyre. The house, a tractor and a camper van were fully alight on arrival but crews were able to save a trailer, a backhoe and some building materials. No one was inured in the blaze. A big thanks to Dunolly and Inglewood firefighters for coming along to help. The fire started in an electrical system.

17.01.2022 Brigade Stalwart Des Roberts has been a member of Rheola Brigade for 70 years. Our Captain Phil presented Mrs Ellen Roberts with a CFA long service medal this week to mark this milestone and say thanks. During this time the Roberts Family Home has been the local Fire Communication Centre with a CFA Sub Base Radio in the kitchen managing every fire in the area till we recently transitioned to central call taking. Des was able to serve his community because of the support of his family and employers. Ellen was usually managing radio, food for firefighters and extra resources whilst Des was out at the fire always working hard to keep us all safe. Congratulations Des and family and thanks for helping this great community. We look forward to a photo of the whole family all gathered around Des wearing this well earned Medal.

16.01.2022 Meet our newest member of the D20 team, Dale Stemmer! Dale is joining us for the next 12months in the Loddon Commander role. Here’s a little bit about Dale’s ca...reer: Dale has been involved in CFA for 43 years, first starting out as a volunteer at Junortoun Fire Brigade. In 1988 he than joined as a recruit and served at Geelong, Frankston, Latrobe Valley and Bendigo where his substantive position of Senior Station Officer is. He has also undertaken Commander work in various Districts around the state. At home, Dale has some property where he runs some Alpacas and Llamas for fibre as well as some pet sheep, goats and a couple of dogs with his wife, Lisa. He doesn’t mind a bit of cycling and mountain bike riding on his days off either. Dale is looking forward to working with the Loddon catchment and meeting everyone when able. Welcome to the D20 team Dale!
