13.01.2022 We all say it will never happen to me. But it did happen to me. 2 weeks ago I went into the docs with pain in my ribs/side which led to a trip to E.D discovering blood clots in my lungs. Im 28, im relativley fit, i dont smoke, and didnt have the normal syptoms. While this has been a very shocking situation, I'm very lucky that these were just in my lungs because the reality is that it could of been much worse. Im grateful that I work in this industry and have the knowledge and the right protection messures in place. I practice what I preach and its times like these that I wish I could help others before they end up in a worse position than I did.

10.01.2022 Amazing things will grow from all this devistation

09.01.2022 Is it FOMO? Is it not caring? Is it trepidation? Since I started this job my mum has always said that she wished she had got some advice around her finances when she was younger. So what is stopping people? What makes us as a population so scared to help make our future better?

07.01.2022 Yesterday we had a great discussion in the office around winning the lotto! We all dream about what we would do with the money but I wanted to know practically what everyone would actually do and who they would speak to. We had our spending's on those dream things such as a new car, a new house, paying off debt ect and then we invested the rest in different things. It blew my mind the possibilities of future income by investing the money but the numbers made sense. It also m...ade me wonder how many people out there do win the lottery and end up in a worse position for it. Greed, un-education, desire, want and fear would all come into play. You would realistically need a whole host of people to manage this money with you, but I wonder if people get advice/help in making these decisions. Well one can dream. What's your dream wish list if you won lotto??

07.01.2022 Third Stimulus Package Announced Good news for Employers - Self Employed - Our Kiwi friends To all of those who have been anxiously awaiting support in these in...credibly tough times, the Government has announced a 130 Billion dollar package that will help support up to 6 Million of us over the next 6 months. Businesses (including Sole traders) will need to show a downturn of 30% to 50% - and some of you have had a much larger downturn than that. The government is introducing a $1,500 "Job Keeper" payment wherein Businesses will be paid up to $1,500 a fortnight, per employee, for the next six months. Mr Morrison said the Job Keeper payment was "to keep Australians in their jobs even when the work dries up". The Job Keeper payments will not only be for full-time workers. Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said the payments would also be available to part-time workers, sole traders and casuals who have been with their employer for 12 months or more. This is a massively positive step in the right direction and should help us all to breathe a little easier. It's not the end - we still have a health crisis to get through and we all need to do our bit for that... but I hope this helps the majority of those whose hearts are heavy with concern around money over the next few months to beat a little lighter. We're going to get through this - we're going to make some big, beautiful and real changes and when we're done, we're stepping out of this stronger than ever. That is the Sumo way.

05.01.2022 It's all about perspective!

02.01.2022 It is estimated that the adult brain makes approximately 35,000 conscious decisions a day! That's approx 2,333 an hour and 38 decitions a minute. Statistically half of those decisions may be wrong ones but at least one of those 38 decisions an hour should be about investing in you for your future and taking action now, not when you're retiring and it's all to late.

01.01.2022 As Mondayitis sets in and your thinking is it lunch time yet, have a think about what your money goals are for this week?!? Mine is to pack my lunch so that I am not spending money buying lunch each day
