25.01.2022 Cutters Phantom IS NOW SOLD DOB: Jan 2019 2yo Palomino Filly (unstarted) Sire: Top Ridge The Phantom (Loud Paint) Dam: Bills Groovy Girl (by Bills Cutter) Purebred QH Price: $4,000 negotiable a bit for a quick sale... She comes with all paperwork to register her with the Paint Horse Association. Estimate mature 14.3Hh, maybe 15Hh if fed well next 2 years. Phantom is a naturally very quiet filly. She was well handled by a young school girl who worked for us in 2019. These photos were taken today. She leads off a horse or a 4 wheeler, is good to bath, clip, pick up feet and rug. She is good to catch in an open paddock. She is ready to saddle up and ride immediately; and could easily be started by a youth or a lady as she's so quiet. Top Ridge The Phantom to a PHAA registered performance sire. Her dam was a lovely, well campaigned mare by the grande old Bills Cutter himself, out of a lovely Ray Mayne mare. This is a lovely filly in every respect, and keep that deep palomino colour right through winter without a rug. She would be a very versatile horse, maybe Campdrafting, Challenges, Calf Roping, Barrel Racing, Cowhorse, Pony Club etc. it wouldn't matter, she will please whoever buys her. We are located between Townsville & Charters Towers and have 2 reliable, well priced Horse Transporters pick up here every week. See more

Highlightcat is by Highbrow Cat out of a good Grays Starlight mare. The colts are then destined for Nutrien Classic Tamworth 2021 under Matt Stanger's capable hands. 23.01.2022 Breakfast time for all the yearlings

21.01.2022 This beautiful natured 10 mth old filly - to be named Crackin Red, is by Spins Red Duck (Blue Duck Okie x Shania Spin) out of our consistent roan baldy mare Erin Crackin Blaze. Blaze has produced some lovely progeny, all super quiet and cowy, and pretty blingy. Crackin Red missed the bling and only got a blaze face, but she's immaculately handled by Helena, and has the Sheriff trademark of being very quiet and super user friendly. She is for sale, please PM if any more information required.

19.01.2022 Just what we ordered! A bay baldy filly with two blue eyes! This lovely filly is by Gottagetagunner out of Get Her Crackin (Browny), one of our best Docs Crackin Oak broodmares.

18.01.2022 CRACKIN COPYRIGHT is FOR SALE. He is a rising 3yo (8/1/18) Bay Roan Colt; and is the absolute last & youngest foal by the legendary & well-respected Docs Crackin Oak. His dam is our top Docs Spinifex mare Docs Insight. Copyright has a double cross of the immortal Docs Spinifex in his 2nd generation, and we believe he will be the only DCO son standing at stud now, or in the future for that matter. Copyright is quiet but cautious, has electric athleticism and is a real thinker.... He was green started under saddle in September and has just finished 2 weeks post breaker dry work and outside riding with Matt Stanger. He has not yet been started on cattle and is now ready for a serious training program. Copyright travels well, has some pretty cool moves playing in his paddock, and sure is bred to tango on a cow.! He currently measures 14.3Hh, and is estimated to mature 15Hh. At the time of his untimely death, Docs Crackin Oak was the highest performed & progeny earnings Australian bred sire of all time. He had an accoladed cutting career & emerged into Campdrafting as a 12yo running 90’s at his first event! Docs Insight was an accomplished Challenger & Campdrafter and is one of few Docs Spinifex mares alive & still fertile today. She is one of the 9 full siblings (5 fillies, 3 stallions, 1 gelding) who all performed exceptionally & became prolific producers themselves. Docs Insight’s siblings were (in order born): Spotlight On Spin, Spins Spotlight, Docs Twilight, Docs Searchlight, Docs Poetry, Docs Insight, Docs Chemistry, Docs Beethoven & Christmas Spin. Rhondhu Stud owned Spotlight On Spin & Docs Searchlight, both now deceased. Rhondhu Stud still owns and uses Docs Insight & Docs Twilight in our Embryo Transfer program. They are aged 20 & 21 years, respectively. Crackin Copyright is now available to purchase; if you are seriously interested in more information and photos, please PM us. See more

18.01.2022 Rhondhu Sheriffs Cracker AQHA: Q-93037 IS NOW SOLD DOB: 08/12/17 3yo Palomino Gelding (unstarted) Sire: SHINING SHERIFF (imp) himself! Dam: Rhondhu Crackin Blondie (Docs Crackin Oak x Miss T O'Lena) Price: $5,000... Estimate mature 15.1Hh Cracker is a naturally quiet gelding, and has been well handled, but is still alert and savvy. These photos were taken today. He leads off a horse or a 4 wheeler, ties well, is good to bath, clip, pick up feet and rug. He is good to catch in a yard, but not quite yet in an open paddock. He is ready to saddle up and ride immediately; he has just the right amount of handle to make a top shelf breaker, and his mind is still open for learning. Shining Sheriff (now deceased) needs no introduction, in our mind he is one of the best sires ever imported to Australia. Blondie was used mustering and one hell of a mare. She got injured on her way to her 1st draft and has been used as a broodmare ever since. Blondie's foals are corkers. We have a talented Acres Destiny mare from her. Jordyn Bentley has a top shelf mare called Cracker Duck who is a muti-talented mare cutting, challenging, drafting and recently finalled up with the big guns with at the ARBC Cowhorse event in Dalby. This is a beautiful gelding in every respect, and has only got to 3yo unbroken due to our busy-ness last year. He would be a very versatile horse, easily turning his hand to Campdrafting, Challenges, Calf Roping, Barrel Racing, Cowhorse; it wouldn't matter, he is a typical Sheriff, he will be user friendly, he'll give you 110%, he'll be your mate and he will please whoever buys him. We are located between Townsville & Charters Towers and have 2 reliable, well priced Horse Transporters pick up here every week. See more

16.01.2022 Now here's something different for Rhondhu, this filly is bred to BARREL RACE, but will work a cow just as well. These are the 1st Woodford Cat USA foals for sale in AUS. Woodford is an AUS & USA AQHA registered Thoroughbred, by Tale of the Cat (prog. earnings $30M) by Storm Cat (2007 leading TB sire). He has USA progeny winning in Barrels, Cutting & Cowhorse. Dam: Rhondhu Rocs N Mimosa (Outback Roc by Roc O'Lena*). Expect 'Woodford Roc' to mature 15.1-15.2Hh. Please PM if any more info rqd.

16.01.2022 RHONDHU CATS R DOUBLE is for sale. Blue Roan Embryo Colt DOB: 18/12/19 Expect mature 15Hh Sire: Highlightcat USA (Highbrow Cat x Cammi Light by Grays Starlight) Dam: Erin Crackin Double Spin (Docs Crackin Oak x Erin Jessica Spin by Docs Spinifex) This colt has an equally beautiful full brother catalogued as Lot 403 at Nutrien Tamworth, a red roan 2yo Embryo colt Rhondhu Cats Double High, ridden by Matt Stanger.... Cats R Double has been extremely well handled, and is a super quiet gentleman of the highest degree. Highlightcat had a decorated cutting career, including being a Non Pro Reserve Champion in the NCHA Futurity, and he sold at auction in the States as a 9yo for $340,000 in 2010, big money back then! The ridden red roan colt is this blue colt's full 2yo brother Lot 403 at Nutrien. To be advertised as a colt for sale at Rhondhu Stud, we like them to tick as many boxes as possible. Rhondhu Cats R Double ticks them all! Nice useful pedigree, 'look at me' type, a nice colour and/or some chrome, have a real good dam, ideally have some real good brothers or sisters, be well conformed with good feet and bone, be very trainable and have an amazing nature.

16.01.2022 SOLD Retired QH mare: Cracklin Rosie (Snelly) Q-44886 Aged roan mare by Docs Crackin Oak out of a Rare Chex mare. At 20 years young, she's served her purpose as a musterer, campdrafter & broodmare for us. She was still fertile when her palomino filly by Rhondhu Spark n Spinifex (see photos) was weaned in 2019. She has taught a few youths to muster & campdraft over the years. These recent photos are of a lovely young boy who was quite intimidated & insecure about riding alone.... Snelly had never had a real raw learner ride her, but within 10 minutes they both adjusted to each other & she got the stamp of approval with that winning smile, coz kids don't lie. We think she'll make a corker learner kids mare. She's sound, can still trot & canter just fine, & still has plenty of energy for her age. Probably too aged for a competitive youth, more so suit a learner rider or a brilliant lead liner. Snelly has a super soft mouth, no bad habits, catch her anywhere, leads on 4 wheeler well, good to rug, shoe, bath, truck, float, never tight - always quiet (this photo ride was 1st in about 8-10 years!). Just a genuine old girl whose done the miles, & now hoping she finds a loving child to pamper her in her old age. She has reduced vision in her off side eye, which is blue, and has a large old dint/scar on her face, neither of which affect her. She hasn't been fed, just in paddock order. 15.01.2022 Nutrien Classic 2021 LOT 275 CATS ADRIFT

14.01.2022 This elegant 7 month old weanling filly (likely name Sparks Chance), is by Rhondhu Spark N Spinifex, one of the 2 Shining Sheriff* colts we retained. after Sheriff died. There's a bit of sentimental history amongst this filly's pedigree, so she's a Rhondhu keeper for sure! Her dam Spins Last Chance is the only female we got to keep by Spotlight On Spin (dec), one of that fabulous full sibling Docs Spinifex* family of 9 that is breeding on strong today. We still have 2 of Spot...light's full sisters Docs Twilight & Docs Insight in our embryo program, aged 20 & 21 years old. Chance's dam (by the talented cutter Beaver Doc who died as a 3yo), won us 3 trophy saddles Campdrafting in her day, and she died foaling having Chance. So Spins Last Chance was a one day old poddy as we lost her sire & dam both within 12 months in 2002 & 2003, and we've waited along time for a corker filly to retain the line. Sparks Chance has that beautiful Sheriff nature; we're so pleased with our Sheriff colts as they seem to be so genetically strong from that phenomenal USA sire Shining Spark crossed with the legendary Docs Spinifex*. 11.01.2022 Looking for a 2yo that a youth or lady can safely break in? Rhondhu Sparks N Roses has a big tick of approval! DOB: 12/02/19 Palomino Filly Sire: Rhondhu Spark N Spinifex (Shining Sheriff x Shania Spin) Dam: Crackin Rosie (by Docs Crackin Oak) Comes with paperwork to register her Q Studbook AQHA. ... Price: $6,600 Estimate mature 14.3Hh, maybe 15Hh if well nutritioned over the next 2 years. She is VERY VERY quiet and good minded. She would be no trouble for a youth or lady to break in, she has that typical user friendly Sheriff attitude. She has a beautiful soft mind, and is ready for a saddle immediately. Photos taken June 21. She is good to catch anywhere, leads off a horse or a 4 wheeler, ties up well, is good to bath, clip, pick up feet and rug. She has a small old thin line scar on her offside hind, fully guaranteed no issues. Shining Sheriff (now deceased) needs no introduction, in our mind he is one of the best sires ever imported to Australia. Spark N Spinifex is by Sheriff, and out of our best old Docs Spinifex mare Shania Spin (also deceased). Rose's Dam (nickname Snelly) was used mustering, was drafted, taught teenagers to ride and chase cattle, and was sold last year as a kids learner mare at near 20yo. Snelly's foals are all very handy, a lot competing Challenges and Drafts, and all quiet. This filly is quiet in every respect, and will please whoever buys her. We are located between Townsville & Charters Towers and have 2 reliable, well priced Horse Transporters pick up here every week. See more

Estimate mature 15.1-15.2Hh He comes with all the paperwork necessary to register him Studbook AQHA. Crackin High is yet another outstanding Highlightcat* foal. He is a naturally quiet gelding, and has been well handled, but is still alert and savvy. Highlightcat was ridden by Beau Galyean to his NCHA Non-Pro Reserve Futurity Champion, and then had an accoladed career with many more wins and finals after that. He sold at auction back in 2010 for a $340,000 record as an aged stallion. Gretchin is a big mare, in width and height, and heart for a QH. She is a cautious type of mare, gammon scared of everything, but all a a charade! She very quiet, very cowy, and had a good career Challenging and Drafting. 06.01.2022 Nutrien Classic Sale 2021 LOT 275 Rhondhu Cats Adrift Highlight Cat (USA) x Shiners Gift, presented by Matt Stanger. A quiet natured young colt prospect who would suit Challengers, Reiners or Campdrafters. ... Note his age, Adrift was only started under saddle in November by a very horse-savvy old-style bushman Bob Grey. He was broken in how we’ve done them for years ourselves; drove in reins, hobbled, bagged, led out, ridden in a bridle early up, used a whip, ridden with dogs, load up a drop door, and done miles of outside riding. Matt then rode Adrift for 2 weeks before he was spelled over Christmas and starting Sale Prep in early January. On top of good dry work basics, and more outside riding, Matt started him on buffalo, and he is going extremely well for the little arena time he has had. Adrift has a very good Dam in Shiners Gift, she has won & placed in many Challenges and Drafts feel free to ask Matt about her, he’d never rode her before, catch rode her in a draft for us, and won after a run off with Pete Comiskey in 2019. Adrift should mature out around the 15Hh mark. He is good to catch, shoe, truck etc. He doesn’t have any bad habits or faults. He’s just a really nicely started, well bred, pretty 2yo colt with loads of potential. Bring him back for future Nutrien Draft & Challenge incentives! Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions or would like to see videos.

06.01.2022 A few months ago, we were contacted by Helena Hullock's dad enquiring if I could teach her how I handle the Rhondhu Stud weanlings. Helena has been here about 6 weeks now, and turns out we couldn't have been blessed with a better young lady! Helena is definitely in the 100% club for attitude, and she sure has some natural talent with horses. She has absorbed every word, and has my Bakers Dozen Step Process mastered. If I ever get to writing my books, Helena will be in them fo...r sure! The weanlings actually told me themselves that she mastered all the Steps; they are kind, quiet, trusting, responsive and educated EXACTLY how I want them at this stage in their life. We are grateful for Helena's good help with the horses and other jobs here, and this will be a text book handled crop of weanlings. We are now getting close to turning them all out in the big paddock to grow up, so Vicki is photographing them for me while I get the good job of looking after Hayes. Some are available to buy now, some have already been sold, some will stay until they get broken-in and then will go to Sales, and just a few (out of favourite mares) will be keepers. There was 17 foals in this crop, all born between Nov 2019 - Jan 2020. The first one photographed is a corker 9 month old bay colt. He is athletic but calm minded, good bone and feet, well conformed and should mature around 15Hh. Sire: Times Up (imp) Dam: RKB Hot Acre Shine (Shining Sheriff* x Acres Destiny* mare) He is un-named yet, but likely to be named Time For Shine, and he is for sale now. Anyone interested and wanting more information and his price can PM me. See more

06.01.2022 Only 10 days ago the Daniell family visited Rhondhu to looking for a kind nice minded gelding for Taylor have a go at breaking in herself at an upcoming Frank Green Colt Starting clinic. They pondered through a group of 9 geldings aged 14mths - 3 years that we currently have for sale, and went home with the beautiful Sheriffs Deputy (Shining Sheriff* x Docs Spinifex* mare), and another younger Spins Red Duck gelding. Made our day to see how happy they are with Deputy, and ho...w far they advanced so quickly - Taylor had him laid down and ridden by morning smoko yesterday, just on Day 1 of the clinic, great work Taylor! Frank Green is a talented horseman and does a ripper job of starting colts; Taylor & Kenny will absolutely cherish this clinic. Kenny is starting another Sheriff gelding at the clinic, owned by Scott & Kristine Napier, Kristine named him Smash (named after legendary USA barrel racer Bogie Is A Smash), I think off memory I had his paperwork down to be named as Smash Em Sheriff. Coincidental that Sheriffs Deputy is a full brother to Scott Napier's beautiful buckskin rope horse Shiners Dilemma, who he just calls 'Barry'. See more
