16.01.2022 Richard Ortega Produtions was started as an artistic marriage between Cuban musician/composer/teacher, Richard Ortega and Australian Entrepreneur, Yvonne Veivers Sadly, Richard left the company to pursue personal interests, but since his departure, the company has grown under the directorship of Yvonne to now incorporate two fabulous and very different bands - Kuban Firez and Kuban Katz. Kuban Firez performs as a small Cuban Orchestra, bringing to you the sounds of the barrio...s of Cuba. Beautiful music to transport you to Cuba and get your hearts pumping and your feet dancing. It also performs originals songs in English about social conscience issues in reggaeton. Kuban Katz is an a mostly female group performing the very latest sounds from Cuba including Rock, Funk, Son. Salsa, Cha Cha and Pop. Yvonne's talents have combined with the top musicians and artists in Sydney and Canberra to produce Music events, Musicals, and to create new sounds combining Cuban music with other mediums - all to highlight the fabulous music from Cuba that we have grown to love and be inspired by.
