18.01.2022 It was a warm morning last Thursday at KIPPAR, but that didn't stop the kids going for it on the tricycles and scooters under the shade of the MPC. With our mini traffic lights up and running, we even had a trike traffic jam - but thankfully no road rage! We were delighted to welcome a lovely new family to the group this morning and the kids were so excited to have new friends to play with! Morning Tea was a fabulous social event, with the children sharing crackers and fruit and discussing a variety of topics. If you're free between 9-11am next Thursday, we'd love to see you at KIPPAR, where the learning's always fun!
16.01.2022 In Week 2 at KIPPAR, we explored the idea of making a boat to float. Mums and Grandpas helped their little ones make boats out of recycled boxes, tubes and paper, with varying degrees of success. For most of our creations, it wasn't so much a race to the finish line as a race to the bottom (of the water trough). After we were done with boat races, we went fishing (with magnetic toy fish and magnetic toy fishing line). Then, we moved onto floating shaving foam 'icebergs' and ...colouring them with food colouring to see what would happen. Mixing all of those colours together in the water, made it a murky shade of brown and we decided it was time to move on to the Prep playground to play on the slides and in the boat, all the while avoiding the 'Lava Sharks' that surrounded the play area. Using the kids' imaginations and everyday household resources has resulted in tons of fun and lots of creative learning experiences. KIPPAR Kids aim to be kind, creative and confident. If you would like to join in with your little ones, we'd love to see you next Thursday between 9 and 11am.
