25.01.2022 Look after your laptop: 1: Keep liquids away from - if it spills it can ruin the internals 2: Keep food away from - crumbs can stop keys from responding 3: Have clean hands on the keyboard & touchpad Install an anti-virus - will keep any nasties away... 4: Don't use around animals - fur & hair can slip under the keys too 5: Lift & hold the laptop by the base - not the lid. Holding by the lid can damage hinges & risks damaging the screen. 6: Don't pull on the cord - can break or damage the connection 7: Don't roll your chair over cables - also can break to damage the cable 8: Make sure there is nothing on the keyboard before closing the lid - even small items can break the screen. 9: Don't expose your laptop to rapid temperature changes. Don't turn on in a warm room if coming in from the cold, let it adjust first. 10: Don't leave it in the car. 11: Let the battery drain to near empty before charging it back up. 12: Use the laptop on battery at least once a week. 13: Install Windows Updates. 14: Have all computers serviced once a year.
