25.01.2022 An oldie but a goodie. Worth a watch if your interested and have a spare 1.5 hours. Despite the cures he attained, the medical profession remained happy to continue with their scientific methods of bloodletting and prescribing mercury tonics. Hypnosis and Magnetism are not the same thing and because of the political and societal influences prevalent during Mesmers time a vast misunderstand of Mesmerism/Magnetism has remained to this day. Once a hypnotist/hypnotherapist gains an understanding of the principles and how to use them the results their clients gain significantly improve. The story although sometimes over dramatised, (especially the baquet session scene), is significantly correct and the period production excellent. Of course Alan Rickman plays a brilliant Mesmer.

23.01.2022 I read too often, even from some self appointed hypnosis trainers that - All Hypnosis is Self Hypnosis. It makes me wonder how you can call yourself a hypnosis trainer in good faith and begs two questions - 1. Why do we need hypnotists? and 2. Where you did your training? If your assumptions are in fact true you should stand behind them or stop talking shite. Therefore I cordially invite you to. 1. Stick a needle under your fingernail up to the quick and feel no pain?... 2. Eat a strong onion and pretend its an apple while showing no physical signs or reactions that usually would accompany eating an onion in a non hypnotised state? 3. Sit up to your neck in an ice-bath for 10 minutes and pretend its warm. 4. Hold a lighted cigarette against the palm of the hand for more than 10 seconds and pretend it’s not burning. I have $1000 for anybody who can do one of these things (Wim Hof - AKA The Iceman or his students excluded on point 3). Some others say that its a naturally occurring state that we all experience many times every day, that is also not true, trance is often a naturally occurring state, but not all trance states are hypnosis. Then theres the nonsense that nobody can be made to go against their moral code or do anything under hypnosis that they wouldn’t normally do not being in hypnosis that’s also not completely accurate. Any stage hypnotist worth their salt knows that’s not entirely true. People who promote such beliefs are just parroting false opinions and have obviously never read George Estabrooks or seen Derryn Brown or Tom Silver entice the commitment of murder. Just because you cannot do something yourself doesn’t mean it can’t be done. It means you can’t do it.

21.01.2022 Another testimonial from a Hypno-University student who had spent a lot of money elsewhere. Got promised the world and delivered a bag of rocks, as happens so often in this profession. Hi Rick I am well into the study and can I tell you how amazing it is, so much more than I expected. ... I had already blown my money in completing NLP all the way to Masters and a 3 day hypnotherapy course that has trademarked the name of there brand and copied Krasner under the trademark and the hypnosis they both teach there is not even close to this, it is really guided meditation. I have been practicing on my wife and am amazed that is just works, every single method just works first time. I am really just thanking you for an amazing course Paul

17.01.2022 Some feedback from a volunteer in the new and first Total Resolution Process (TRP) training in Perth this week. It combines hypnosis and magnetism. This lady has hardly slept at all for many years. Its not all just about words. Naawwwggh! This was a bit like me n Tiger yesterday arvo.. I was very privileged to be a demonstration guinea pig for Rick Collingwood's latest hypnosis & mesmerism course.. trying to help my insane insomnia (ideally get rid of it altogether!) I was SO... smashed by the 1st session that it felt like I was neck deep in mud. By the time I got home, it seriously felt like there was a magnet forcing me to bed.. pushing me so deep into the mattress. Tiger, unsurprisingly was somewhat concerned as she's never really seen me plonk out like that, that quickly... shoot! Even I haven't seen or experienced that! I was in & out of Lala land for the next 4 hours, & periodically I'd half wake up & feel Tiger snuggled up to me as close as she could, & 10 minutes of snuggles is all I get from her in one hit usually... then just as I woke up for good, I could feel her "holding" my hand, like I do to her when she's unsettled. Her gorgeous tiny little paw sitting in the middle of my palm.... I love this lil chick! See more

13.01.2022 There seems to be so much bitching, moaning, trumpet blowing, over pricing, and slandering going on within the profession at the moment, both in Australia and internationally. So, although I have no evidence to prove it, I’m just gonna come out and say it straight. - I AM THE ABSOLUTE VERY BEST HYPNOTIST HYPNOTHERAPIST and HYPNOSIS TRAINER WHO EVER HAS MIGHT or WILL EVER LIVE - ONLY MY HYPNOSIS & MESMERISM METHODS WORK and EVERYONE ELSE is ALWAYS 100% WRONG with absolutely z...ero exception . What a pack of disrespectful, self appointed expert, know all egomaniacs the Hypnotherapy profession seems to have been invaded by. AMENDMENT- Truth be told there are many exceptionally good trainers and hypnotherapists out there. You know, the ones with years of experience in the real world . But there is a flurry of many self serving egomaniacs just selling repackaged crap that they’re not even very good at invading the profession with $$$$$$$ being the only or primary motivation. No wonder the profession has challenges gaining credibility

07.01.2022 Reading a lot of claims about the instant and remarkable effects if certain supposed hypnotherapy methods or protocols that apparently wipe away a lifetime of issues in a session or too. The only evidence being offered is the client says they feel better. That is no real evidence it is only self aggrandising opinion as most people feel better for a while after discussing their issues. Short session fast results can just as quickly fade away. There are no miracle cures and there is no therapy I know of, hypnosis or otherwise, that delivers permanent results in 1 session. If your a therapist making such claims, how about some evidence gained from regular 2 monthly follow ups for at least 12 months. Our education as therapists is a never ending story, there are no magic bullets.
