25.01.2022 I had the pleasure of meeting with our local MP Colin Brooks at Watsonia earlier this week to discuss the $5.5m in funding the State Government is providing Council for the Watsonia town square and related projects. We have a lot of work to do in the coming 12 months: complete the bike path under the electricity transmission lines; and deliver a new town square and public open space at Watsonia. A big year ahead!

24.01.2022 Hanging out with a few friends at Ford Park, Bellfield earlier today. The playground and BBQ facilities are amazing. In partnership with the State Government, we are delivering great things at Ford Park! #Bellfield #Banyule

19.01.2022 Thank you Grimshaw for an amazing 8 years! Please do not forget to vote - Ballots must be posted by Friday 23 October. If privileged to be re-elected, I look forward to continuing our great work together. Please check out my video.... #Banyule #Election #Bundoora #Watsonia #WatsoniaNorth

19.01.2022 In attendance at a rally in support of refugees, many who live in Banyule. It's really important to stand up for all vulnerable members of our community. #GameOver - Craig Foster

16.01.2022 Here's to the end of a testing year for us all. It was a year that challenged many of us, saw a great appreciation for frontline healthcare workers who truly put themselves on the line, pushed us to isolate from the ones we love and each other, and brought about a return to kindness. Despite these often frustrating times, there were glimmers of hope, love and achievement that helped us get by. On a personal level, my wife and I were delighted to welcome our daughter Gabrielle... into our little family, as hard as it was for our family to finally meet her. We know that many in our community are still doing it tough with unemployment running very high. That is why we as a Council are committed to doing as much as we can to create local jobs and help get people back to work. The Banksia Community Hub, social housing and private housing project in Bellfield approved by Council a few weeks ago is one such project that will create 100s of local jobs in the coming 6-12 months. May 2021 bring ample opportunity for us all to reconnect and truly appreciate every moment we have with our loved ones. Happy New Year!

15.01.2022 Proud of what Banyule City Council is achieving through its innovative partnership with Launch Housing. This project will provide much needed housing to many individuals, particularly after what has been a difficult year. The new social housing development will be situated adjacent to the soon to be constructed Bellfield Community Hub and Community Garden and is an example of how we are working to connect our services. It will ensure that our community can thrive and live healthy and happy within a shared community.

14.01.2022 Very proud that Banyule is leading the way in promoting a diverse and harmonious community.

08.01.2022 Best of luck to Bundoora Tennis Club for their semi-final match!

07.01.2022 Happy 3rd Halloween Birthday to our little girl

06.01.2022 I am humbled to announce that I have been re-elected as the Councillor for Grimshaw Ward and was last night elected as your Mayor. Thank you to Grimshaw residents for your continued support and for entrusting me to represent you on Banyule City Council. Thank you to my council colleagues for electing me as your Mayor. Our sleeves are rolled up, we are back to work and ready to serve our local community.

06.01.2022 Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous 2021

05.01.2022 I honor all Australians who made the ultimate sacrifice on this day 102 years ago. On this day, I also think of my great grandfather who left his family behind as a new migrant to Australia to take up the fight in WW2. He made the ultimate sacrifice and sadly did not see out the war. I thank all brave soldiers who lost their lives in battle and those who returned home injured, fighting to protect our great nation. They fought protecting the freedoms that we enjoy today.... For our tomorrows they gave their today. Lest we forget.
