24.01.2022 As per the note below the league has arrived at a difficult decision following discussion with all junior clubs this morning and elected not to proceed with a junior season in 2020. I can appreciate this is disappointing news for many, however, in light of the COVID-19 events in recent days with regards to hot spots and confirmation today of cases in the Sunbury and Melton areas, things are rapidly evolving with no definitive end in sight. The health and well being of all pla...yers, members, families and friends of our great community club has been paramount during this pandemic and the decision by clubs and the league today is the right call in the current climate. The executive and committee will meet in the coming weeks to work through what was season 2020 and planning for season 2021, so communication will follow post these meetings via e-mail to registered members and via our FB page

19.01.2022 The under 13s had a fantastic game today vs Melton south - coming away 22-6 winners . A big thank you to our under 11 fill ins - Tessa , Tilly , Lucy and Eden . Also a huge thank you to all the parents who have offered their help with the 13s & 11s teams especially Eliza Allen taking over both the 13s and 11 s training over holidays . Much appreciated. 15.01.2022 Dear Members, Players, Families and Friends, Further to our last update, The Victorian State Government has eased restrictions with regards to Junior Sports (18 and under competition) now allowing full contact training and competition to commence from 22nd June. We are awaiting further information in the coming days as to what protocols will be in place for this return, however, this announcement provides a positive step forward to recovering season 2020 in some form. As per the current agreement between AFL VIC and Cricket Victoria, the junior season can be extended to accommodate a junior grand final on Sunday 11th October, thus allowing for a potential 11 round home and away season and 3 finals rounds which would be fantastic. Of course this relies on a July start date which has yet to be determined by RDFNL. In lieu of this commencement the club has engaged with our committed coaches and team managers who are all eager to start training again. Each coach and team manager will be in contact over the coming days (if not already) to enquire each player's intention and willingness to play with their team this season. It is critical that we receive this advice as the club needs to confirm teams and playing numbers to the league by Monday 22nd June, so would appreciate all members and players timely responses. Football Training will commence on the main oval as follows: Under 17's TBC Under 15's Tuesday 23rd June 5pm-6pm Under 13's Wednesday 24th June 5pm-6pm Under 11's Thursday 25th June 5pm-6pm Under 9's Friday 26th June 5pm-6pm Netball Training is currently being planned and dates will be confirmed in the coming week. 15.01.2022 First night of football training!!! U15 training up and running. Sensational turn out with 38 players turning out. With all COVID controls in place a great time was had by coaches and players alike!! The Bombers are back!!!

14.01.2022 Hi all Members, players, families and friends of the RCJFNC We truly appreciate your patience as we sorted out our position with regards to refunds. The club has considered all advice from the League and AFL VIC / Netball Vic with regards to providing for some refund of monies and the way in which to facilitate some refunds. The club to date has incurred some $11,000.00 dollars in operating costs made up of League fees to cover Admin and Insurance costs up to season cancella...tion, commission on registration fees though SportsTG and MyNetball, purchase of new sporting equipment - Footballs, Netballs, New Player jumpers for 3 teams and 1 new team set of Netball Dresses, first aid supplies and other items ready for season start in 2020. In the true spirit of community our great club has felt it necessary to offer each registered player a full refund of their registration fee paid, this was a unanimous decision of our committee. We find ourselves in this position thanks to the contribution of our committee and volunteers who over the years have provided loyal service to our club, keeping our operating costs low, for the benefit of our great community club. In order to avoid additional admin costs, the club will need to process refunds individually, so our Registrar/Treasurer will make contact with everyone individually over the coming days,if not already. 08.01.2022 BACK TO SPORT UPDATE!! Great news this morning with the Chief Health officer of Victoria announcing that all contact training for junior sport can resume from June 22. We await confirmation from both Netball and Football governing bodies as to what sort of protocols and or restrictions will come with the resumption however this is a great step in the right direction. ... As information filters through we will keep everyone updated and fingers crossed we will be back out there very soon . Stay tuned and we look forward to kick starting season 2020!! GO BOMBERS
