15.01.2022 This is how Ride The World Motorcycle Tours meetings look like. So much to discuss for the post Convid world of riding.

15.01.2022 Now that the travel restrictions have lifted somewhat in NSW we decided to take a week long motorcycle ride to regional NSW to help support those areas affected by drought, fire, and / or Covid-19. We also chose this week to coincide with Men's Health Week so we can raise awareness about Men's Health. Men's Heath Fact: Today is the last day of Men's Health Week but it is not the end of Men needing to seek help. ... Tough Men, Real Men, so not physically or verbally abuse their partner and / or kids. Tough Men, Real Men, do not battle negative thought / feelings alone. Tough Men, Real Men seek help to become better humans #BlackDogInstitute #BeyondBlue #LifeLine #BetterDads -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 5, Friday: Goulburn - Home With the overnight rain, we took a few minutes to wipe our soggy bikes down before filling up at the Big Merino service station. Then it was a ride up the incline to MacDonald's for breakfast and a discussion on if we should don our wet weather gear as the sky looked ominous but possibly clearing. Fortunately David already had his on which Kym and I decided was an omen that it now will not rain. While the roads were wet from the overnight downpour it did not rain all day so made life in the saddle a lot more comfortable. As it was Winter Solstice and therefore the shortest day of the year, we had planned for it to be our shortest riding day. However, our Sunday ride day went like this: We did not stop at Fitzroy Falls as planned as there was no parking. There was no room to sit down at the café that sells "the best pies in the world' so we rode on. Kangaroo Valley was so busy we decided to just ride through. We stopped for coffee and cake at Cambewarra Mountain Lookout which was very busy but the coffee was hot, the cake was delicious and the view over the Shoalhaven was spectacular. We went to visit Fleet Air Arm Museum but due to Covid-19 it is closed until further notice. After lunch at Hungry Jacks (not our usual standard fare but it was convenient), we went to check in at our hotel and have a beverage or two to discuss what we will change before we finalise the details and open the tour for bookings. HOWEVER, the new self check-in technology at our hotel in Nowra failed and the restaurant attached to it now does not open on Sundays. An executive decision was made and we raced up the freeway (observing all traffic rules) to get home in time for dinner. So ends our six day reconnaissance ride / Ride for Men's Health / Ride to support rural NSW after, drought, floods, fire and Covid-19. Keep an eye out for the release of our new tour where you can join us either on a motorcycle or our 'seat in van' option. It will be AMAZING. #RideTheWorldMotorcycleTours #MensHealthWeek
