25.01.2022 Update on Rocco: He has come out of surgery and is in recovery. Operation went well, he has to stay a few days at the vets to monitor etc and they will give me an update how he is going tomorrow. Hopefully we can pick him up again on Friday I have to say a big thank you to KYLIE, MADDY, HANNAH ,JULIE, ZOE for doing an amazing job this afternoon. It's great to know that I don't have to worry about the ones at home and you all helped out when it was needed. ... THANK YOU AGAIN to ERICA AND CLAIRE for babysitting Deano and Layla. It means a lot THANK YOU to LAILA for keeping me sane throughout the wait. would probably annoyed the vets more if you wouldn't have been there THANK You everyone for the crossing fingers and keeping Rocco in your thoughts. Let's hope the big boy will recover nicely and we can have him home again soon ................................................................................... Today we have closed for lessons. One of our horses has a big scary day infront of him. He is now on the way to the Equine hospital in Anstead to have two masses removed from his head. I will stay with him till the operation is over and hopefully all goes well. Rocco has to stay a few days in the clinic before he would be able to come home again. Luckily we have a great support system here at Ridez. Thanks to Julie, Claire and Erica ,his best mate Deano(my big baby) will have a lot of TLC sessions today to make sure he doesn't stress to much that his other half is gone. it gives me relieve knowing he is looked after while I can't be there for him. Last time Rocco had to stay at the vets, Deano fell into depression and we will try everything to keep his mind of it Thank you also to all our volunteers today for helping out with all the jobs needing to be done at the stables. I can fully concentrate on Rocco knowing you all will do a fantastic job. Thank you to Laila for keeping me company while we wait. We are quite anxious for Rocco, but so far the vets are quite optimistic that the operation should go well. Please have Rocco in your thoughts and cross your fingers for him

21.01.2022 Hi all, we are planning on getting a new shipment of Ridez shirts and caps and wanted to put a feeler out for who would be interested in purchasing these items Shirts $45 Caps $25... We are also looking into a long sleeve shirt as well which we will put up prices for once we have received a quote. You are able to pre order shirts and caps which you will need to pay for upfront for, otherwise we will get a couple of each size which means you may not be guaranteed an item If we can find out numbers and collect payments ASAP we are going to try and get an order in before Xmas, for Xmas. This would be a great Christmas idea

21.01.2022 We have a few volunteer spots becoming available. If you'd like to volunteer and any of the days/times suit you ,please contact Dez Volunteering can include: Grooming horses, catching horses, bringing horses out to paddock, helping with lessons/camps/pony rides/events etc... Feed run, filling hay troughs Cleaning water troughs and paddocks,stables,arenas etc Lungeing horses, confident+capable riders can have opportunity to ride horses /ponies who need miles under their belt, sometimes in lessons, sometimes by yourself Rugging /unrugging horses, flymask off/on etc Getting tack out/put away/ clean tack etc Jobs can vary and change, it depends what falls on, on the day. Opening spots for volunteering: Monday's to Fridays from 4pm Saturdays from 9am or 1pm Sundays from 10am or 12pm We are very appreciative of all or volunteers and always try to give them some extra for their help such as free rides, some trips to the beach or trails. Our volunteer group is very friendly and open for new helpers. They always include everyone and are happy to explain or help you when you just started out. 21.01.2022 FOR SALE We have made the hard decision to put up for sale: GIGI , approx 15.3hh OTT mare She is 9 years old and has been of the track since December '19.... This mare has it all- the looks, the talent, the temperament GIGI is very quiet under saddle as well as on the ground. She has been used ,for the last 8 month ,as a school horse and kids as young as 7 years old have been handling her as well as ridden her. She is great on lead as well as off lead. She has more whoa than go,but can get up and going if wanted. GIGI has jumped up to 90cm and has established walk,trot,canter transitions. She has started to learn legyield, collection, extension and can work beautifully in frame with the right rider.. She has been ridden through jumpcourses, pole classes, kids camps, flatwork lessons and on trails. She is happy to plot after other horses on the trail and has shown no shy with trucks,cars,motorbike,dogs etc nothing seems to faze this girl. In the school she has been ridden by beginners up to advanced riders and adjusts lovely to the riders level. With a beginner she is happy to plot along and can be quiet lazy. With an intermediate rider she is a bit more foward and works along nicely to their level. With an advanced rider she shows her talent and works nicely of the leg. GIGI is very easy going and takes everything in her strides. She is easy to float, handle, for the farrier, catch, rug etc. GIGI is barefoot atm and has shown no feet issues. She is up to date with her worming, farrier and 2in1 vaccination. Reason for sale: GIGI is not a happy chappy with being shared between riders. In her opinion the attention should be all on her, and only her she is much happier if she has one person she can work with and who gives her all the attention. GIGI has shown not being fond of working with too many other horses in an arena which is easily controlled by an intermediate or advanced rider. GIGI has quite a fan club in the school,but she is just not meant to be a school horse and would be much happier with her own person. Eventhough she has had lots of beginner riders on her and helped them to gain confidence, we won't sell her to a beginner or as beginner horse. She will try to get away with things if the rider/handler is inexperienced. She is more suited to an intermediate or advanced rider who can let her use all her talent and go places. She will only be sold under contract. Price can be negotiable, HOME is not!!! Its a very hard decision to let this girl go, but we want her to be happy and to show off her talent. She will start to have some outings soon, price will go up with full vaccination, more training and exposure. Price is $6000 Videos will be available soon.

We have added another day for the beginners which is called the fun camp We also would be able to hold a camp ...week from the 7th of December ( for the ones starting early with their school holidays), If we get the numbers . 12.01.2022 Meet our new little mates Little white one is "TALLULAH" Little black and white one is "BOLT" ( as USAIN BOLT) He got his name from bolting right after he arrived and everyone chasing after him We decided to add some mini goats to our herd ,due to a new service we are working on to offer soon... 11.01.2022 Great day with our Fundraiser Market yesterday. Thank your so much to everyone who attended and all our helpers and volunteers who helped organising and running it yesterday. Thank you to all stall holders who attended and supported our rescues with it. We loved having you here and hope we will see you next time again. It was an amazing fun day with lots of goodies to buy, a demonstration of animal accupuncture, amazing yummy ice cream and of course pony rides and much more. Kalika will start her breaking in training next week. We are so excited to see how she will go and we can't wait to have our first ride with her.

02.01.2022 And he is back HOME Rocco was released of the hospital this morning . He has been a really good boy and the surgery was successful now its 2 weeks for the big man in the stable before he can dance around again. His plans were different i think he is not very fond if being in the stable while the others are happily grazing out. Lots of work cut out for me in the next 2 weeks with changing the bandages etc, but its worth it. His best mate Deano was over the moon seeing ...him again and came running up to the fence with the happiest face. Rocco gave him a little hello as well Thank you to Westvets Anstead for looking after this boy so well and sending him home with a care package
