25.01.2022 Great Australian Poker Run Lake Macquarie 18-19 October Codie loved the Poker Runs and was there at the first one organized by Alex Ross. He was always keen to show off his boat. ... We are hopeful to have his boat ready in time to run at Lake Macquarie. We also encourage everyone to get behind this event and enjoy a day out on the water. There are so many ex racing boats and social boats out there, It would be awesome to see them on the water. This is an easy and cost effective substitute to racing. 25.01.2022 Team Triple 666. Another team that we grew close to through racing. Started as competition in 60mph became such a close team and life long friends. Dave took codie training on so many occasions and towed him as heaps of races around the country. Brooke was like a sister to codie.... They have been such a strong supporter of us for so many years.
25.01.2022 From Hailey Van De Ven from Antwerp Belgium. Hailey spent 3 months living and training with us a few years ago. We all became quite close and built a wonderful strong international ski racing connection. Thank you Hailey
24.01.2022 From Jordan Dodwell (Bradley) New Zealand. From the 2011 worlds, Codie was spectating but after that Botany Bay race I knew it wouldnt be long till he was competing! Another one of our international family that we grew close to, despite the distance.
24.01.2022 From Jason Callon. Codie skiing behind 99 Psycho Clowns at Lake Moogarah 2014 for the selections for NZ worlds. Codie skied through a course buoy on the last lap and speared it on his ski. He crossed the finish with it attached to his ski. He maintain he completed the course as it floated off once he stopped on the correct side of him.
23.01.2022 From Mick Kelly First social racing (in many years) Mid 90s whole way. I believe this was referred to as the pinnacle.
22.01.2022 Southern 80. Codie (yo-yo) and Mick (bank robber), tipping it in, dragging Shoulders
20.01.2022 Some of the toughest water we raced in. So cool.
20.01.2022 Any support that people can give would be appreciated.
20.01.2022 Tribute to Codie held before the Hawkesbury 120.
18.01.2022 That time we were training offshore and snapped the lower half of the outboard whilst running at 70mph.
18.01.2022 Circa 2007 at sackville Ferry. Mini marathon race.
17.01.2022 Codie was always trying new innovations in an attempt to progress ski racing. He tried paintball masks, New types of helmets, Intercom systems, skis. Some were successful, others not so much. He was a testimate to continuing to think outside the box and never settle for blindly doing what everyone else does.
17.01.2022 Australian Championship Series - Geelong This series was an amazing chance for Codie to grow and show what he could do. His selection to run the series in F1 was a surprise to us all as we didnt think he was worthy of the level of competitor (Proctor, Mawer, Weaver, Gulley, Graziano, Tegart and more). 1st round at Redcliffe in QLD codie was with the outboard Triple 666, he managed a very impressive race beating a number of the F1 boats in horrendous conditions. ... 2nd round in Geelong RCM Racing was finally ready and ran its first race there. Codie came in 3rd on one of the days only beaten by Peter Proctor and Wayne Mawer (both world champions) 3rd round in Newcastle codie tried to ski on a broken foot to finish the series as he was close to taking 3rd overall, but couldnt finish. At the time codie would have been only 17 or 18.

16.01.2022 2014 European Titles - Eguzon/Vichy France. Dan McMahon arranged to borrow Frank Meirsmans F21 Force to run F2. The Europeans all but dismissed him as a serious competitor, he wasnt with a particularly fast boat and he had his mum, Terri Rigg observing. ... This was Codies first experience in the canals. Dan did everything possible to get the boat to go faster including removing the trim tabs and considered taking the seat base out. In the end he decided that he would just have to take the fastest way through the course (right up the centre). This was the toughest and most difficult course. At one point mum was in the boat saying it will be ok Im in a force boat with dan McMahon driving. Dan responded Im just a passenger in this. Codie won all of the rounds except one where they lost track of the lead boat. Technically Codie (not being a European) couldnt officially take the title, hence had to share the podium This was the start of our European connections, which lead to a number of other adventures and memories.

15.01.2022 2013 - Tenerife world titles Codie, Tim and Dad competed in the selection races for the 2013 Australian team with Rigged Custom Marine Racing. At the time there was never much thought put into actually going to Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain or competing at an international level as Codie wasnt expected to qualify with so many high calibre skiers in Australia at the time. However due to the location of the worlds very few teams entered the selection races resulting in Codie... qualifying as the 3rd Australian F1 mens skier behind Wayne Mawer and Mark Weaver with James Hogben as reserve. Once he qualified, the family had the question do we go? It was the chance of a lifetime however the cost was enormous. In the end Mum and dad decided it was worth it. Even to this day we say it was 100% worth the cost. That worlds was the most amazing experience. Codie skied phenomenally. Even having one of the best European skiers ever, Darren Kirkland, coming up to meet that little f#%*er when he couldnt beat him. John Robertson told dad before the races started just be consistent and you will be surprised. He was right, Codie kept a consistent pace that whilst quick wasnt beyond his limit. He managed to place in several of the races and placed 3rd overall. Only beaten by Wayne Mawer and Todd Haig. Both prior World champions. Beyond the racing that worlds meant so much to us, as we did it as a family. Tim and codie built that boat from scratch, we trained, travelled and competed as a family.

13.01.2022 Top Gun Russell Lewis took on Codie to ski with Top Gun in Unlimited and superclass. Over the years he skied with a huge number of other skiers in team Top Gun including Buser, Cadden, Burns, sawtell, Cotton, Berry, Gordon, Sheath.
12.01.2022 Great Australian Poker Run at Lake Macquarie Fantastic day so far. Set to watch the offshore boats from centre course
12.01.2022 Thanks Debbie. There is so much in this to tell. Hazy was a huge stepping stone for Codie. He skied with Hazy at the series races and improved so much. ... Hazy and Aquaholic teams grew so close. For the NSW series presentation we made paper mache models of hazy and Aquaholic. Aquaholic had a steam machine to signify blowing the engine and hazy had a water spout for the hole it got at the state titles in port Macquarie. Won best table that year. Codie so looked up to Peter hunter and Trent Eastgate.
12.01.2022 Clearly had no idea.
11.01.2022 This was so awesome.
10.01.2022 From Lori and Billy Dunsmore from USA Found this pic of Codie when you n Greg drove us in your outboard to Force boats n we gotta visit Codie!! 11-15-2017:):)xoxo
09.01.2022 Sudden Force (Howard Hoggins (USA), Brady Hoggins (USA), Trent Eastgate and Codie Rigg. Sudden Force was Codies first team for the river races after racing with the family boat Aquaholic. This team brought codie out of his shell and had many adventures together. The most memorable was Mildura when the gimble housing broke and the boat was sinking. Howard managed to beach the boat but it was in a remote area along the river. What followed was a survivor like adventure where there was no food (it sank with the boat)and Brady was evicted from the camp.
08.01.2022 Aquaholic. 19ft Connelly built circa 1982 Tim Rigg bought Aquaholic when he was 17 after finding it in a paddock at Pitt Town. At the time it was quite run down. Tim spent the next 8 month restoring the boat and mum pulled down and rebuilt the engine. ... Our first race was Southern 80 2006. We towed the boat down to Echuca behind Pas 68 chev impala. We ran 60mph our team was Tim driving, mum observing and Daniel (15 years old) and Codie (12 years old) skiing. It was a comedy of errors. We missed our starts then got going with the wrong handles, codie fell about half way and struggled to get up again. About 8 tries later we were going again, after mum insisted codie try to start wrapped up. Codie skied the 2nd half of the race with no lenses in his goggles. We finished is a time of 1:13. We ran 60mph for 2 years then stepped to u19 boys. codie was only 15 years old racing against 18 year olds but still managed to hold his own. Aquaholics last race was its fastest with codie skiing at just under 110mph down the first straight. Ran out of fuel shortly afterward.
07.01.2022 I believe this was in Vichy France for the European titles in 2014. Codie managed to befriend a 1 eyed cat. He had a knack for locating cats at races.
07.01.2022 Wisemans in 2011. Codie running behind Liquid Force. Quick run that one.
06.01.2022 From Brian Griffin
05.01.2022 Codies last run with his boat. His boats first race was with Tim Codie and I. Only fitting that his final ride will be with us. Thank you Rod for your effort to give codie the right send off. Goodbye little mate.
03.01.2022 May 2014. SKI4KIDS. Manly to Newcastle harbour. All 3 of the Rigg brothers together in the open ocean. This was the first run for Codies boat. Tim and Codie finished the boat Saturday morning, run the new motor in and raced Sunday finishing in a record time of 1 hour 19 minutes. ... We always said we wanted to go back and attempt the record officially.
03.01.2022 I think this was 2008 NSWSR presentation. Shortly after Codie stepped up from 60mph Most improved male skier. I believe this is referencing a race that Codie challenged Team Stinga Racing surprising everyone.
02.01.2022 From Shane Wilson. Codie in Botany Bay with Kenny Cheethams Nutcracker. Think this was the day he realized he loved rough water racing. He was holding with Stephen Robertson in big water. The windscreen actually snapped off and the team pulled out. codie wasnt pleased with that.
01.01.2022 Codie’s last run with his boat. His boats first race was with Tim Codie and I. Only fitting that his final ride will be with us. Thank you Rod for your effort to give codie the right send off. Goodbye little mate.
01.01.2022 Hawkesbury 120 Ski Race Tribute to Codie Rigg On Sunday morning, 30 minutes before the race start at Windsor, we will be holding tribute to Codie. ... We will idle out in front of the clubhouse at Windsor and release balloons with messages to Codie. This will be accompanied by a moments silence. During the silence please remember any of the good times you have had racing and the mateship that you have built up through racing.
