23.01.2022 In 2021 we're planning to explore the depths of Western Australia's killer whale hotspot Bremer Canyon. Read on to see how you can help! A Sense of Scale Its pretty amazing to think that not 40km from southern Western Australia's coastal town of Bremer Bay a series of deepwater canyons seasonally host Australia's largest aggregation of killer whales. These deep dark waters are also home to a healthy population of archeteuthis or giant squid. ... This past season we managed to capture video footage of quite possibly the largest giant squid ever seen alive. The accompanying illustration is the approximate size of the creature we visualized last season. This coming January we're sending our camera gear to over 800 metres in the hope of once again sighting this elusive beast. The equipment we're assembling is both technical and expensive but we're determined to see this through. 16.01.2022 Over the past few years we've been filming recovery efforts for the worlds rarest marsupial - Gilbert's Potoroo - a gorgeous and extremely vulnerable marsupial that feeds on truffles! We've produced this promo video for Gilbert's Potoroo Action Group to support them in helping scientists from Parks and Wildlife Service, Western Australia save it from extinction.
