25.01.2022 @richie___elliott Richard Elliott working with a few of the MMA and Muay Thai fighters tonight. He runs our boxing class for all levels Tuesday 4:30pm and Saturday 11am

24.01.2022 Few clips of our last kids class. The class runs for 45 minutes 4:15pm every Wednesday and is catered for kids 7-11years old. A typical session includes skipping and running to warm up then stretching and learning techniques while shadow boxing. Then we practice those techniques on a bag with a partner and later on pads with some of our top fighters. Always include lots of push ups, squats, burpees and sit ups then finish with some games or a obstacle course. ... Have had a few calls about joining but our numbers were restricted last month due to covid regulations. Happy to say we can now take on new students when we resume July 15th for term 3. Hope to see you then

24.01.2022 For Charlie’s birthday we had his WMC Australian title framed to display in his business. He’s been with us since he was 21 before we opened RIkers. He has always helped out taking classes, training fighters and after opening his cafe he even began financially sponsoring our gym and Champions over the last 12 years including Matthew Stevens, Kym Johnson, Charles August, Carly Gangell and Paul Slowinski. Definitely has the biggest heart I know so ‘To know him is to love him’ @ RIKERS GYM

23.01.2022 From Knees of Fury back in November 2009 some highlights of the first fighter to represent our club @lynch3than - Ethan Lynch taking on the tough Kiwi Chris Wells who went on to beat World Champions Flip Street and Ghot Seur Noi

22.01.2022 Thanks again to everyone thats offered to donate and transfer their fees to keep the gym going through the shutdown. While always appreciated Ive decided to raise money for the gym through a hoodie order so if your interested you can DM me the colour and size you want. Theyll be ready by the end of the month. Two colour prints are $60 and single colour $50. Ive added some other colours that are available with single colour print but stock/sizes are limited so may take longer. @ RIKERS GYM

22.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/SupplementWarfare/videos/1242652285877426/ Another Performance of the night award for Matthew Stevens.

22.01.2022 Matthew Stevens currently training in Thailand, smashing pads morning and night and clinching with some of the worlds best at Fairtex in Pattaya and FA group in Bangkok. Getting ready for his upcoming fight as Main Event on Knees of Fury Feb 9 against New Zealands Oscar Remihana.

20.01.2022 Happy 40th Birthday to Paul Slowinski I first met Paul in Thailand 20 years ago. He was already the 79kg WMC World Muay Thai Champion. I had never seen someone train so hard before even when told by the Thais to stop and rest he’d get caught hitting the bag somewhere else After training we’d go down the street and play K-1 on the old Playstation. He’d play as Ernesto Hoost as he admired his style of low kick, body rip and head kicks. ... He told me he’d be the K-1 champion one day. I laughed as those guys were so big it seemed like a ridiculous dream at the time. He stared at me and said’ I’m fucking serious’ 6 years later he was the Oceania K-1 champion, European K-1 champion and fighting at the K-1 Grand Prix in Japan under Ernesto Hoost. When the PS2 came out he was now a fighter on the game! I went from being a fan, to a friend, to a pad holder and later got to travel the world and corner him for a lot of fights. Even though he’s retired from fighting living in Perth now and doesn’t like social media hopefully he details his life story one day. I feel he inspired a whole generation of fighters not only from Adelaide but Australia and Poland. Even for me as a trainer he showed if you dream big, back it up with hard work nothing is impossible (also helps if you have the genetics and stubborn mentality like the Sting ). With over 100 wins from over 130 fights here are few of his KO’s

19.01.2022 Some great shots by @melbicephoto of @shayymohamed first fight for Rikers Gym at the last Combat Sports show in Port Adelaide. @ Adelaide, South Australia

18.01.2022 @will.kolaroff back on pads with @richie__elliott after breaking his hand in his last fight hopefully will be back in the cage soon.

17.01.2022 Now the weather is better the classes are bigger! so to make sure theres enough space well separate the Muay Thai classes on Thursday/Saturday with fighters training at 4:30pm Thursday & 8am Saturday

17.01.2022 Some good shots by @melbicephoto of Max Hamilton @max_ham_ilton debut on Pride 2 last month. After originally training with his dad in their shed at home, Max came to Rikers last year at age 14. His parents said he was obsessed with fighting but only allowed to train if his grades at school improved and hed have to find a part time job and pay for his own training. This year he got better grades and paid his fees by cleaning and doing odd jobs for me around the gym so he c...ould train with the fighters 6 days a week. Im extremely hard on him at times forgetting hes only a teenager but he always thanks me for the feedback and shakes my hand at the end of every session. A tough kid with good manners and a lot of potential. Im proud of how far hes come this year and the second round TKO win was a testament to his hard work and determination. @ AUDC HALL/ Wonderland Ballroom/ Hall Hire & Event Venue

17.01.2022 Thanks to everyone that tuned in back home in Australia to watch Matthews fight live Sunday morning and of course all the sponsors that helped us get here as a team. Frustratingly Matty lost a close split points decision tonight we thought he had won on points and so did 2 judges giving him the win but the other 3 gave it to his Dutch opponent. On the bright side we're happy he got to display his ring smarts, footwork and kicking talent while also showing a lot of toughness..., he impressed the crowd and the promoter with a entertaining fight. He has signed a 3 year exclusive multi-fight contract with Glory so Team Package will be back on the global stage again soon. This is just the beginning

17.01.2022 @will.kolaroff last fight on Knees of Fury back in August. Hell be fighting again at DFC Adelaide Oval November 10 against Olympian Steve Brown. Order your tickets at the gym on the whiteboard

17.01.2022 Few pics from @mattystevz wins on the weekend

16.01.2022 Got a gift in the letterbox today. Thanks to all the fighters that chipped in to help with our gyms rent. Its been a tough time dealing with the landlord and my day job prevents me getting assistance while the gym is shutdown. Unfortunately I cant offer pts or online training due to a ongoing back issue. Im going to do another club t shirt and hoodie order to raise some money and a few of our champion fighters will do some tutorial videos starting next week.... Just wanted to say how lucky and proud to have a lot of friends and family reaching out to me on a daily basis as they know Ive always been too stubborn to ask or even accept help at times

15.01.2022 Some more pics by @melbicephoto from Pride 2 fight series. This time of Will Kolaroff and Tassya Stevens. Both were fighting full thai rules against fighters from two of Australias top Thai gyms. The Pit in Perth and PTJ from Sydney. Will won unanimous decision using his hands to set up his clinch and knees every time his opponent ducked under his punches. Tassya made her Muay Thai debut and did well avoiding countering her opponent walking forward to clinch and landed some... big punches to get a first round Knockout. Congratulations to both who trained twice a day in the lead up working on and improving all aspects of their game @ Adelaide, South Australia

14.01.2022 Thanks to @reelsocialmedia for doing a couple of training highlights of @will.kolaroff and @mattystevz competing at Knees of Fury this Saturday night. Check our FB page for the full clips.
