25.01.2022 The tantric commitments we make during an empowerment ceremony are the lifeblood of our Vajrayana practice. They are what provides us with the pure perception to make the skillful methods of Tantra such powerful causes for achieving enlightenment. The essence of the individual liberation vows is to avoid harming others, while the crucial point of the Bodhisattva vows is to try our best to always have undiscriminating love and compassion for all sentient beings. Vows are not a burden, they are a gift to support our practice. Rather than placing your attention on whether or not you can uphold a vow, focus on your aspiration to do so. For instance it may be an oral transmission through words, or a direct transfer of understanding from mind to mind. We have kale, spinach, avocado and nectarines. Come add your favorite food to share with everyone. Make a family day of it. All helpers are welcome including your 4 legged friends.

19.01.2022 We rejoice in the completion of the 3D Model of the 21 Taras Auspicious Fortune Palace for the upcoming Drolmi Kazug (21 Tara) Empowerment and Puja that Rinpoch...e will offer online on January 2nd and 3rd. Khentrul Rinpoche has been in semi-retreat for months preparing for this. He would like to be able to offer it to us in the most complete form ever offered. He wants to be able to give this extensive puja, oral transmission, and empowerment. Then make available to us all the items we need to be able to continue to practice it ourselves. In preparation, Khentrul Rinpoche commissioned a 3D version of the Auspicious Fortune Palace and the 21 Taras. There are many elements of mantras, fortune pillars and all 21 Taras that are placed inside according to the text. This helps magnetize and bind the conditions for material and spiritual good fortune. In our current times we need wealth, health, political harmony and longevity in our lives and the world. This is important as a bodhisattva activity to help sentient beings so all may realize enlightenment and manifest the golden age in our world. Registration details shared soon.

19.01.2022 At Land of Shambhala the mandala shape for the healing Rimé deity garden is underway. Once all pathways in the shape of a vishvajra (doubel dorje) have been created, the remaining spaces will be prepared for planting. This space will be a food forest inspired by permaculture. Each section will have a deity from one of the worlds healing traditions with accompanying plants.

Khentrul Rinpoche's vision is to create a spiritual paradise that replicates Shambhala itself; a place where all sentient beings can come and experience life changing transformation through the Kalachakra path.... The first step is to acquire the land. We found land that had all the proper elements present for Khentrul Rinpoche. We took out a large mortgage in order to secure the location. We now call on the strength, merit and generosity of the community to manifest Land of Shambhala for the benefit of all beings. To pay off the land we require 200 people to donate $100 per month for 24 months. That's it, that's all it takes. 06.01.2022 Butter is one of the three whites in Tibetan Buddhist offerings and is a representation of the wealth of our world. This has been a staple of humans world wide for centuries. Even if you do not have a lot of wealth or time most people have butter which they can share. We are preparing to consecrate the Unified Sangha Stupa. In the Stupa is an area called the Treasury in which many precious things representing wealth are placed. There are a lot of karmic benefits and purifica...tion when someone makes a contribution to a stupa. We want as many people as possible to be able to make a karmic connection with the stupa. While it is not possible for everyone to contribute treasure vases and holy relics it is possible for everyone to make a karmic link to this stupa by contributing butter. Making a link to this stupa helps create the causes for the 2nd Golden Age of Peace and harmony to flourish throughout this world through the power of a unified global Sangha from all traditions. We need 36,000 grams (72qty 500g blocks) of unsalted Butter to clarify and place in a copper vessel in the stupa. One to a few sticks is enough from each person. We want to give many people the opportunity to contribute. Please drop butter off at our temple to be added to the treasury no later than July 12. If you wish to contribute wealth representing objects such as crystals, blessed objects, medicine and things that represent the wealth of the world we welcome this as well.
