19.01.2022 Our day at the beach came to a swift end when this rolled in.

17.01.2022 Only a month after I came back ... Bo Kaap, in all its colourful splendor. https://www.rimintonsontheroad.com/the-cape-south-africa

16.01.2022 Just a short walk we told them, but the others were sick of walks. So she and I had the place all to ourselves! #sweet #beautifulplace #together

14.01.2022 By heavens but we are a glamorous couple. #roadtrip #4wd #gonebush

14.01.2022 A quick and unplanned stop at Dunalley Beach turned out to be a real hit. The tide was low, exposing a vast beach, and some curious sea creatures. The ill-educated might think they are clear sea-cucumbers. But we were reliably informed they are, in fact, invisible poos. #Tasmania #familytravel

12.01.2022 The Rimintons are on the road again! It's been a while, so we are thrilled to be back on the open road, binocs in hand, exploring Central West NSW.

11.01.2022 This one has been a labour of love. We met the Kim and Brett Pittman on our trip in the outback, and heard all about their adventures over the next few stops. They were the inspiration for this story, and will no doubt inspire many others. The Murphys I am yet to meet face-to-face, but perhaps we will bump into them on the road sometime. Check out Trekkingdownunder.com.au to follow their travels. Perhaps https://www.abc.net.au//families-on-the-road-trip/11091218

10.01.2022 We love you Orange! Here are some shots from a gorgeous, exhausting day we spent on Mount Canobolas. Despite some resistance, we got the kids to tackle a challenging walk to Federal Falls. It was such a beautiful track, and the whole area is so lush right now. Plus ... we found some snow!

10.01.2022 Hong Kong might look like a war zone from afar, but we recently spent two wonderful weeks there reconnecting with some of the places I love, and introducing them to the kids. I’ve finally got around to compiling pictures of some of our adventures on Lamma Island and around Hong Kong. The full gallery is now online here: https://www.rimintonsontheroad.com/hong-kong

09.01.2022 We are on the home run! Some engine trouble delayed us a few hours in mighty Wangaratta, but that meant we were forced to overnight at beautiful Kimo Eastgate, in Gundagai. It’s much drier than when we were last here, but it’s still just as gorgeous.

09.01.2022 Walks around lakes are not for everyone. This point was forcefully made to us at Lake St Clair, so we told him he couldn’t stop the rest of us from enjoying the place and he would have to wait in his own until we were done. When I came back, I discovered him building homes for the wombat he’d see walking by. They came complete with little tables serving grass. @ Lake St Clair

05.01.2022 To some it's the stuff of nightmares. To others it's the dream of a lifetime. The Pittmans made it reality - setting off with their two boys for 8 months on the road. Here's how they did it, and what they learnt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4c3tst6G3g

04.01.2022 Four weeks on the road and this is Hugh’s new look. I’m a fan. What do you reckon? Should it stay or should it go?

02.01.2022 Day’s end in the central highlands of Tasmania. #eveninglight #tasmania #landscape
