21.01.2022 It’s no secret that people everywhere are going through a tough time right now. And our industry has been particularly hard hit with a very long, slow recovery ahead. We’re all enduring forced closures and as we wait for the light at the end of the tunnel, livelihoods are being ruined. Sometimes it feels like getting to the other side of this crisis is an impossible task. As a business owner, our own mental health is so intrinsically linked to our businesses health. When th...e road gets tough, it can take a huge toll personally but we often bury it while we keep up a brave business face. It’s hard to ask for help. It’s hard to start the conversation. But it’s so important to know that you’re not alone. If you’re feeling like it’s getting too heavy to carry on your own, reach out. Tell someone. It could be the most important conversation you have. To all of our industry colleagues and business owners, this is us checking in. How are you? Know that we stand with you, we’re here for you and we can’t wait to see you again. 20.01.2022 We’re all feeling a little deflated after the recent announcement of stage 4 restrictions. It’s certainly another set back in an already challenging landscape. All we can do is ride it out and hope that this course of action finally sees results in curbing the spread of COVID-19, so we can all get back to it. In the meantime, take care of yourself and your loved ones. Be grateful for what you do have instead of lamenting what you don’t have. Appreciate the little things and... enjoy the slower pace of life. The disco ball WILL spin again and we can’t wait to see you all on the dance floor. X

11.01.2022 The first to be hit and the last to recover. What it’s like being in the event industry right now... The wedding and event industry, unlike many others in hospitality, cannot flick a switch and reopen as soon as the green light is given. We cannot operate at a reduced level or pivot to a different angle when gatherings of any size are not allowed. Longer lead times for events combined with consumer uncertainty will see a very, very slow recovery for our industry. The even...t industry was the first to be impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, with initial restrictions on large group gatherings essentially wiping out the following 6 months of work. Now, we find ourselves here...round 2 of lockdown with no clear end in sight. We love what we do and can’t wait to get back to it. Being told you cannot operate your business, that you have poured your heart and soul in to for over a decade, is devastating. This is more than a job, this is our business. This is our livelihood. While we navigate this extremely challenging time, we ask for your understanding. We are doing everything in our power to accomodate date changes. We are still here to answer your enquiries as we look forward to the future. To all of our wedding and event industry colleagues, we miss working with you and hope you’re all hanging in there!
