Based on a vast amount of research, here are some things to focus on: 1. Practice Self-Compassion 2. Find pleasure in small things (gratitude) 3. Look for meaning 4. Give back and build community 5. Don't sweep negative feelings under the rug "Optimism is about giving yourself permission to hope, even if you feel extremely anxious, unhappy or fearful. It’s not about ignoring your negative feelings about the crisis, but about finding a way to keep them from overwhelming you." Try practicing at least one or more of these each day.
