24.01.2022 Women around Australia need your support! I’m out to crest ripples again! Can I count on you? Tomorrow the 25th of November marks a special day for women all over the world. Tomorrow is the UN Sanctioned International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women. For the next 15 days we aim to bring awareness to everyone and show how important women are. Safe Haven is an organisation I am supporting with the hope of creating a national service and they are organis...ing a campaign that starts to help women fleeing domestic violence into immediate accommodation, with very generous citizens in our community who give up their spare rooms to house women. It is called "Give me a Fiver for a Female" We are asking if you would give up $5 per week for 52 weeks to help save a Female. This equates to some, as little as giving up one cup of coffee per week. The total amount of $260 in a year will house a female for 2 weeks accommodation, and it's a tax deduction. Imagine for Christmas, you decide to save someone's life by giving them a roof over their heads! How wonderful would that make you feel!! Can I count on you to give up $5 per week for 52 weeks? Safe Haven is aiming to find 2000 people who would like to commit to creating an impact for women facing homelessness- that’s 133 people a day! I am only asking 10 of my friends to support this cause. What we would then like, is for those 10 people to do the same. Ask 10 of their friends to donate as well and it keeps going. This way it is only each of us asking 10 people. Imagine the ripple effect this will cause and imagine the women we can all save! The campaign will only run during the 15 days, so we want to find as many people as we can in this time. We know we can do this, but we need your help.
