25.01.2022 I dont like to play favourites but, seriously Ive been putting leftover loose leaf tea from my kombucha brewing straight onto my plants and they are loving it!

25.01.2022 While its amazingly generous for companies to be donating their profits to help bushfire affected communities, it bothers me that new products are being made. Do you need that koala pendant? How big is its carbon footprint? Has the production of that item contributed to global warming by being made overseas in a factory whose waste runs into our oceans and whose workers are underpaid? When buying from brands that are advertising all/percentage of profits from sales until t...onight! ask yourself do I really need it? and consider donating your money directly to a charity instead. If you have already donated or cant afford to, you could help by volunteering your time signing petitions to ask government to declare climate emergency following fire bans reducing water use having a sewing bee with friends to make animal pouches supporting your friends and family who are hurting See more

25.01.2022 I made these custom bags for my friend Ali @__onist__ to reuse each Christmas for her families presents, how practical!!

24.01.2022 2019 Reflections Devastating natural disasters. Many disappointing political decisions made that value profit and power over our environment Many people making sustainable changes. The smallest wins are the biggest ones. Ripples are turning into waves and the tide is turning! 2020 Goals Be kind to myself.... Keep the faith!! Make choices in line with my values. Help to spread positive ripples throughout my community and the world. Thankyou for your love and support this last year, its been a big one! Looking forward to going into 2020 with this positive community!

11.01.2022 Its been a very hard week for our country, for our First Nations people, our wildlife, our farmers, our emergency workers and many, many communities. Im always so proud to call Yeppoon home and feel especially so this week. Ive had my heart filled seeing our little community come together to look after eachother. Offers of showers and washing machines, a town backyard for lost cattle and horses, free rooms at local motels, free clothes outside big brand shops, home cooked ...food to the frontline firefighters. Its really easy to watch the news and see pics like this and feel utterly exhausted and frustrated by our government and the state of the climate. But I have seen the best parts of humanity in our beautiful community this week and wanted to acknowledge the good. Thankyou for sharing this beautiful but heartbreaking shot of my hometown @cherryandjun_photography See more

10.01.2022 Market ready for @plasticfreegoldcoast Plastic Free Parents Day, Sunday 8th Dec at @morena.espresso So excited to spread some ripples and hang out with like minded folk! See you there from 8.30am

09.01.2022 When youve exhausted refusing, reducing and reusing what you have, its time to invest in quality. Investing in wax wraps was one of the first changes I made to reduce waste in our household three years ago. I still have my first set that I iron over each winter and theyre as good as new. Ive calculated I would have spent $50+ on cling wrap in that time. Wax wraps are cheaper, better for our health AND the environment!

08.01.2022 GC Locals, come down to @morena.espresso this Sunday for @plasticfreegoldcoast family market day! Ill be there with Ripples goodies to share!

07.01.2022 Do you volunteer for a local climate action group? If not, you should! @plasticfreegoldcoast makes me feel inspired and empowered and hopeful for a brighter future! Our Climate Conversation event this week brought together the wealth of knowledge and passion we have here on the Gold Coast and highlighted the organisations making serious waves @stopadanigoldcoast @gcschoolstrike4climate @acfcommunityburleigh @aycc_goldcoast @gc_gecko @globalshapersgoldcoast @ap4ca Find your people, engage and keep the conversation going! @ Karma Collab Hub

07.01.2022 My beautiful amiga @eatyourselfgreen has been using my handmade reusable face wipes instead of single use cotton wipes to reduce waste in her bathroom. Theyre made from soft flannel and can go through the washing machine to be used over and over again! Larissa uses them as a refreshing wipe by storing them in a jar with warm water and castile soap! @eatyourselfgreen @ Gold Coast, Queensland

07.01.2022 Fill a bucket! After yesterdays huge storm on the Gold Coast, all the litter in our parks and streets has flowed straight into our ocean. Its a beautiful day to be outside, if you can spare just half an hour go for a wander and pick up what you find! I left Tugun a little cleaner than I found it this morning

05.01.2022 In the last two days Ive seen two drivers throw their cigarette butts out the window while driving. Marine life aside for a moment, it is terrifyingly dangerous and irresponsible with total fire bans in place across our state!! Here is the link to give them a nice $227 fine ($455 if deemed dangerous!) http://www.keepqueenslandbeautiful.org.au/report-a-litterer

05.01.2022 The loveliest morning at Laneway Markets! Sharing my passion for #plasticfreeliving and spreading ripples of positive change!

03.01.2022 Cleaning up the beach before the turtle hatchlings scurry across it! We were told that in two months time theyll be in line with the Gold Coast, swimming along in the East Australian Current and 50% will already have plastic in their little bellies. Every piece counts!

02.01.2022 Bubble & squeak for brekky using up leftovers from the week! Roast veggies, quinoa, kidney beans and kale with eggs. Use what you have, empty the fridge and reduce food waste!

02.01.2022 All the market goodness, setting us up for a week of home cooked healthiness I have ALOT of cooking to do for festive events and the key to doing this #plasticfree & #stressfree is being prepared with a list and trips to the market @gcorganicmarket & wholefood store @thesourcegoldcoast
