07.01.2022 Community Autism Socials at Yale (Project CASY) now has a project car! The vehicle is a 2017 Chevrolet SS sports sedan. This picture was taken when the car wa...s on display at the Autism Speaks / Lake Compounce Car Show last June (2018). In this picture, the car is completely stock except for the subtle aftermarket mud flaps from Holden, the company that manufactures the car in Australia. What’s notable about the Chevy SS is that it looks like a regular family sedan. Some might mistake it for the Chevy Malibu or Impala. However, there is a potent, naturally-aspirated 6.2 liter V8 engine under the hood sourced from the sixth generation Corvette. Moreover, this particular model is fitted with a 6-speed manual transmission. While its looks are arguably boring, the performance is not. This aligns with our belief that you should never judge a book by its cover. That applies to people, places and things!
