RAC and Gumatj Corporation disapprove of these trespass notices, and prepared the statement below in support of Rio Tinto and now all those who hold Nhulunbuy town subleases.

Dhimurru would like to remind the people living in NE Arnhem Land of the dangers of Baru (Saltwater Crocodiles). Saltwater Crocodiles inhabit all water environments in this area i.e. rivers, creeks, billabongs, lagoons, beaches and river mouths. 14.01.2022 The historic Yirrkala Church Panels (1962-3) have been described as amongst Australias most important artworks. Laying out the sacred foundations of Yolu Law ...by 16 artists sharing the deep identities of each clan in unity. Artists include Mawalan, Narritjin, Wandjuk, Mugurrawuy and two more recently deceased who each won First Prize in the NATSIAA. Today we celebrated the opening by Chief Minister Michael Gunner of the NTG funded protective glass cases which guarantee the protection of this precious heritage. 12.01.2022 Today RAC celebrates its 36th Anniversary, along with the AGM. RAC was incorporated on 17 October 1984. At the AGM, the members passed a special resolution to remember the older generation which began the Corporation. This was also a family fun day, with jumping castle and face painting for the Djamarkuli and some adventurous adults.
