25.01.2022 It’s with great pride that we can announce that the Port Pirie Night baseball league has awarded the premierships to our three teams. Majors, Minors and under 15 have all been awarded the premierships after finishing the season on top of the ladder in each of their respective grades. We send each team out each week to not only win games, but also develop players to play at the highest level possible in coming years.... Whilst this is not the greatest way to win, and we would have loved to play last night and tonight, we believe it is a outcome that reflects the results of the year that the Risdon Tigers Baseball Club has had. Unfortunately we have had postpone our presentation night, but after the Covid-19 has settled,we are hoping to have a night to celebrate not only this year, but also the last season, where we also won premierships in all three grades! Thank you to all that have helped in any way. Coaches, Shannon Edwards, Mark Bridley, Caleb Thornton, Nathan Lynch. All the scorers we have had during the year. Melissa Mathews Ant White Kathryn Pole Gregory All the umpires ( can’t name them all) And the strong committee that have lead to the success that we have had. Thanks to all of the parents of the junior kids! The juniors we have at the moment are one of the most dedicated and talented we have ever had, and under the coaching of Caleb, we have enjoyed watching them develop into stars! Keep watching this page for updates on presentation nights, and a possible fun day for our juniors as well, and they deserve to celebrate as well!! Jeremy Mathews RTBC President

24.01.2022 NOT LONG NOW Minors first pitch will be at 6 pm, with what can only be described as a family feud Tigers are blessed to have seven family with at least two representatives, while one family could have as many as 6 ( including uncles )... It’s a amazing achievement. The majors will follow with tigers taking on cats how have hit form towards the end of season, in which will be a tightly fought game. A bar voucher is on the line for anyone that can name all the brother/ sister/ father / mother / uncle /Aunty combination that will be shared between the three teams tonight!! It’s a pretty long list!! Best of luck to all the teams competing, all the officials and all the volunteers that are helping tonight!! We would love to see as many supporters as we can out there, so feel free to invite any family or friends to memorial oval for a great night of baseball

20.01.2022 We are all going to the big dance!! All teams have finished top of their respective ladders and get a pass into the grand finals to be played across the 19th and 20 of March! Juniors will kick us off on the Thursday night, with the team getting their last work out Thursday night, accounting for a competitive Cats outfit.... Minors wrapped up the minor round with a hard fought win over Cats White, while Majors had a win against Cats. Training will continue for the next couple of weeks with all teams making preparations for the final game of the season!!

20.01.2022 The grand finals have been played and it was a great night for the Risdon Tigers baseball club!! The juniors wound up on Thursday night in the last game of the modified season. The kids did an amazing job, with plenty to look forward to in the coming years!... Thanks to caleb thornton for taking charge all year, and setting the club up for future success. In the minors grand final, Tigers gold were too strong on the back of a ten run third inning, that seen them run out convincing winners, over Tigers black. Archer Bessen was adjudicated as best on the diamond and received the Trevor Marsland MVP award. Our majors side jumped out of the blocks against Cats and score ten runs in the first two innings to kill the game off early. It was a hit parade, with 20 hits from the whole batting line up, with Jordan Fuller having 5 hits, while Lachlan White collected 4. Jordan was strong on the bump throwing seven complete innings and collecting the Kevin Ryan MVP award. A big weekend celebrating, and we will be able to relive the suscceful season we had with our presentation night on the 17th of April! More details to follow! Congratulations to all players, officials and supporters on a very successful season!

18.01.2022 The PPNBL regret having to cancel all games due to the Covid-19 virus. The decision was not made lightly, fully understanding the grand finals were being played this week. The league has not made a decision on the out come of the season as yet, and we will let our supporters and players know when the decision is made.... We are very proud of the season that all of our teams have had, all going on to win the minor premiership, only losing seven games across all three grades We are also very proud of the juniors that we have produced over the last year. Some have played senior ball, while the ones that have just started their baseball journey have improved way beyond our expectation! Our mantra has been for a long time is to promote juniors and the policy is paying off!! We will share anymore information that comes to hand when it’s available. Thanks again! https://www.baseballsa.com.au/news/covid-19/
