25.01.2022 The Blue Dozer is finally home with Gavin at GR Dirtworx. Thanks to everyone involved to make this happen, special mention to Ritchie Bros. and Natik for partnering up and making this project possible. Whilst it’s the end of the journey for the Blue Cat, it’s just the start of what it’s all about. This Blue Dozer is here to clear away any stigma attached with feelings and moments when some might feel trapped, confused, or unsure of what to do next, forging a path to just st...art with the conversation. It might be the person who is suffering that reaches out, or you might see a mate, work colleague or loved one who hasn’t been themselves lately, it starts with a simple concept of having a chat- A simple concept, that is sometimes the hardest part. When you see the dozer on the road or when it is hired out and in your place of work, it will give people a reason to take that step and have a discussion. It was great to catch up with our friends Les & Stephen from Natik who arranged the float so we could get the GR Dirtworx Dozer from Vic to Ritchie Bros. in Brisbane and back again. We also had a great time at @Westracaus Tomago whilst we were in the area. 22.01.2022 GR Dirtworx’s Beyond Blue Dozer has left the Ritchie Bros. Brisbane yard and make it’s way back home to roost in Victoria via float organised by Natik. Gavin from GR Dirtworx started this initiative after helping his brother through a very dark time and thought that something needed to be done about mental health on a larger scale. He decided to team up with Ritchie Bros. and Natik to makeover his Cat D6 and turn it into Beyond Blue. Once back in Vic, $2 per hour that ...the machine works will be donated to Beyond Blue. Ritchie Bros. understand how operating heavy machinery can be a lonely job, so if having a blue dozer on-site starts conversations, then that’s a good thing and a worthwhile project to get behind! We’re stopping off at Newcastle and South of Albury on the way. If you’re in the area, come and say hi, take a picture and share it with your mates. If you come across the Blue Dozer, especially along the journey home, stop us, have a chat, take a picture and spread the awareness. Mental health awareness is so important and we understand that it’s especially hard for males to talk about their feelings.
