23.01.2022 Rites together is offering a range of opportunities for the community to participate in our Stepping Into Manhood camps for 13 to 16 year old boys and their families. There are also opportunities to come on board as a camp leader or to explore broader community leadership in a rites of passage context. This is our fifth year running camps, and each camp is getting more profound and rich for the boys attending. The families supporting the boy are intricately involved in our c...amps. We have set up our camps to positively influence the family dynamic so that the environment for the boys are optimal to grow into their emerging manhood. To explore this further for potential interested participants, Rites Together has organised an evening on Friday the 6th of March to find out more about the camps. Our camps involve a 4 night camping experience for the boy and their male mentor, father or significant male in their life, great food , camp fires, challenges and sharing of stories. The 2020 camps are on 21-24 of April and 7-10 of October. They usually fill fast as we only have space for a maximum of 12 participant father/sons. For those interested in our leadership programs, the weekend is run between the 15-17 of May. This weekend has been filled for the last two years it has been run. The weekend covers an overview of the rites of passage process and an emergence in some of the processes that are used on camp to provide a taste and insight of what the camps are about. This weekend is also described by participants as insightful, eye-opening and explorative. 21.01.2022 We would like to provide the community an opportunity to come and explore some of the details around our rites of passage camps. A Rites Together information evening is being held on the 17th of January to discuss why these programs are instrumental for young boys to transition to healthy young men. The camps have been run for 15 years in Perth and have provided many families with clarity and focus for their young men. They have also helped families find their path in life a...nd taught the boys how to grow into their masculinity. The evening will be informal, allowing for questions and a brief experience of what it is like on a camp as well as providing information on rites of passages and boys growing up in our contemporary society. 20.01.2022 THE PERFECT XMAS GIFT FOR YOUR FAMILY. Rites Together is running its first stepping into manhood camp for 2020 from the 21st to 24th of April. The camps are a family event as we believe a rite of passage should benefit and include the family. The camps are for 13 to 16 year old boys. It is held over 4 days in a bush setting. Take the opportunity to enrol early and secure your place. We are reducing the cost for this camp for early enrolment by 250 dollars and we take payments by instalment. We will be holding two information evenings on the 17th of January and the 6 March if you want to find out more please let us know your interest and we will provide details of the events. 20.01.2022 Rites Together will be running a free information evening for anyone who has any questions about the April 2020 Stepping Into Manhood Camp. The evening, held on the 17 of January 2020, would be perfect for anyone who is considering signing up or would like to know more about what the camp may hold. 14.01.2022 Hi All I went to see this last night with a few friends and it was a powerful and uplifting documentary. Highly recommended for everyone in our community off all orientations, sexes, ages and connections to your community. It follows 5 beautiful men and their journeys over 7 years. ... 11.01.2022 Hi all, you may not know this but Rites Together run leadership training camps as well! These two day intensive camps run by our experienced leadership team provide an in-depth look at how rites of passage camps are run, their importance in the past and future and how to effectively lead meaningful conversations in groups just to name a few. We host the trainings in may, however if there is enough interest we will also host one closer to the end of the year.
