24.01.2022 Want to know how to use 2 microphones with 1 camera? @rodemic recently brought out 2 awesome accessories to make this possible. (DCS-1 + SC11) Having this accessory means that you don’t have to use an external recorder or an additional camera to capture audio from a second microphone. ... This comes in super handy if you’re a solo shooter and don’t have all the gear that you’d normally require to do this! ---- For all business inquiries: [email protected] To see more of my work: www.ritevisuals.com.au

24.01.2022 I created an 11 minute BTS video of me using this budget setup to film a real estate video of an average looking un-staged house; I feel like this is a realistic representation of homes that most people will film if they’re new to the industry. - In this video I give you a POV BTS look and also commentate over it, telling you what I’m doing and why I’m doing it. - I follow the same fundamentals when filming a house but as every house is different I wanted to share another ...POV video with you all. - If you’re interested in checking the video out, click the link in my bio to head to my YouTube channel ---- For all business inquiries: [email protected] To see more of my work: www.ritevisuals.com.au See more

23.01.2022 Do you prefer shooting handheld or with a gimbal? As you can tell my preferred method of shooting is with a gimbal. There’s just something about buttery smooth footage that brings me so much joy But that doesn’t mean I NEVER shoot handheld! I switch up my shooting style depending on what I’m working on ... Gimbals, lights & lenses are all tools we can use to help convey a story. Just because you love using a specific tool doesn’t mean that it is well suited for every job. Don’t forget to experiment with different focal lengths, different lighting setups & different shooting styles from time to time ---- For all business inquiries: [email protected] To see more of my work: www.ritevisuals.com.au

20.01.2022 I’ve been playing around with the @zhiyun_tech Crane 2S for the past few weeks and save to say I love it For anyone who has followed me knows that I’ve always used Zhiyun gimbals, both the Crane 1 & the Crane 2, so I’m stoked they brought out another in the series! I’ve been working on a little video that I can’t wait to share with you guys! Stay tuned!... ---- For all business inquiries: [email protected] To see more of my work: www.ritevisuals.com.au See more

20.01.2022 Which would you pick? Sony A7siii + Tamron 28-75 f2.8 or Sigma 24-70 f2.8? My thoughts on both ... @tamronaus = super lightweight, zoom ring is easy to adjust so this lens works really well as a gimbal lens = the 4mm difference between 24 & 28 IMO is very noticeable, sometimes I wish it could go wider than just 28mm @sigmaphotoaustralia = I love the build quality of sigma lenses, they’re heavy and the zoom/focus rings feel more real than that of the tamron (yes I know - that’s a weird way to explain something but if you’ve used them both you’ll know exactly what I mean!) = The zoom ring zooms the OPPOSITE way to ever other lens. Literally so annoying cos I forget and try zoom in but nah I’m moving it in the wrong direction

19.01.2022 3 tips to help you or your client become more confident talking to camera - #1: FILM YOURSELF MORE Now we all know the more you do something, the better you become at it, right? It’s as simple as posting videos onto your Instagram stories, sending video messages to friends instead of texts, or just recording videos of yourself talking on your phone. When I first started my YouTube channel this is the main tactic I did to become better at talking. - #2: KNOW THAT MISTAKES... ARE TOTALLY NORMAL: Understanding and accepting that from time to time you may slip up and make a mistake - and that it is totally normal to do so. Don’t beat yourself up because you’ve messed up a sentence or a word. Generally whenever I film people talking I’ll have two cameras rolling capturing two different angles, this way if the person messes up there sentence, 9 times out of 10 I cut it out by switching to the other camera. Alternatively you could use B-roll footage to cover up any cuts as well. Just remember that you don’t want to put yourself in a bad mood for messing up! - #3: GO IN WITH A PLAN: Have a purpose behind what you want to talk about, don’t wing it. Some people like to write full on scripts and others like to jot down some dot points. Just remember that if you do have a script, you don’t need to read it word for word, again this goes back to the making mistakes tip, I find that if someone has written out a script they feel as though they need to perfect it 100% because what they’ve written down sounds really good, but at the end of the day you want to use this as a reference. ---- For all business inquiries: [email protected] To see more of my work: www.ritevisuals.com.au

19.01.2022 How often do you hear people say they’re not getting paid enough to work on a project so they’re not going to put in all their effort? I’m the kind of person that will put in effort into every single video I work on. Doing this in the long term is going to play in your favour. Make something that you would be proud to share - your work is literally a representation of what you can do so you never want to half-ass anything as your name stays tied to that.... The reason I’m saying this is I literally just experienced this in full effect. I had to break lease at my rental property & due to the current stage 4 restrictions in place they can’t do any inspections, so the agent asked me to take some videos of the property. I could have just taken some simple iPhone videos but instead I went and produced something that I normally would for a client. Once the agent saw the video, she passed it onto the landlord who happens to be in property development. He then hired me to shoot a video of his most recent development that’s just been put to market. Now if I didn’t create this video of my rental property to the standard that I did, than I wouldn’t have gotten hired for this other job! Moral of the story... you never know who’s watching, so make sure you’re always putting out your best work ---- For all business inquiries: [email protected] To see more of my work: www.ritevisuals.com.au

13.01.2022 Here’s a promo video I created for @f45_training_mornington earlier this year - The main objective with this video was to get more sign ups for their challenge, but since they were forced closed we decided to completely change the copy to be used on the video to get sign ups to their online platform. Along with that I provided them with the same version of the video that reads F45 Mornington is now open which they will be blasting out once they are open again in 7 days. ... - Even though we weren’t able to go ahead with the original plan, they were still able to use the already shot content to their advantage during this time - Anyway - enough of me blabbering on. Hope you all enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed creating it! ---- For all business inquiries: [email protected] To see more of my work: www.ritevisuals.com.au See more

11.01.2022 The @rodemic WirelessGO is so compact it’s perfect for filming workout videos! - I also love that you can purchase the lapel mics in white too! I have both the black and white lapels and I take them with me to every shoot. It’s nice to have a lapel that blends in with the talents shirt rather than being really noticeable and obtrusive! ---- For all business inquiries: [email protected]... 02.01.2022 Let’s talk vertical video Do you currently shoot vertical format videos, and if not, do you think you ever will? - There’s a lot of hate around shooting with your camera flipped vertically, but I’m a firm believer that if you’re producing content specifically for mobile use (whether that be Facebook ads or an App) then you’d be wrong to not utilise the full size of your sensor. - Stoked that @zhiyun_tech have just announced the Crane 2S which has a feature that allows you... to mount your camera vertically! - If you’re interested in knowing how I shoot vertical video I just shared a YouTube video showing 3 different ways to shoot it and how to get to smoothest footage possible Link to my channel is in my bio! ---- For all business inquiries: [email protected] To see more of my work: www.ritevisuals.com.au See more

02.01.2022 Whenever we get an enquiry for a project we love to jump on the phone to get a further understanding of what it is you’re looking for and why you want to create a video. These 3 questions not only give us an understanding of how we need to approach the project, but it also helps you define your objective for the video. The more goals you have with the one video, the harder it’s going to be to achieve. Interested in chatting to us about your next video project? Click the link in our bio and schedule a call
