25.04.2022 The Consolato d’Italia in Brisbane has now published the results for the 2021 #COMITES elections. Our list made it in, getting two seats with our Simone Trentino and Joe D'Ercole who will be now part of the new COMITES! Congratulations to all the candidates who ran for this elections.... 15.04.2022 Today the - , will regroup at the Consolato d’Italia in Brisbane to complete the last checks on the vote counting and deliberate on: 1) How many seats will be allocated to each list 2) Which candidates made it to become the new #COMITES members ... We will release the results of this election once we will receive formal communication on them. How does it work? 1) Running time: Saturday the 4th of December from 8:00 am to 18:00pm... 2) Every list is entitled to send on a volunteering base a representative during the vote counting. The Regioni Italiane Unite QLD & NT has sent its head of the list Simone Trentino to also check procedures are followed. 3) The scrutineers selected are: Maria Maruca (acting as president), Mariangela Stagnitti, Adriana Bardini, Dino Varricchio & Angela Berlese. 4) The scrutineers will receive a reimbursement of 122.40 euros each (exchanged to AUD) as per art. 19 point 5 legislation 286/2003 5) Once the vote counting is completed, the CEC (Comitato Elettorale Circoscrizionale) will regroup on Monday the 6th of December. As Regioni Italiane Unite QLD & NT, our purpose has always been to unite people where differences and fractures were created. With our campaign based on #communication, #transparency and #inclusion we believe we managed to bring people together while opening their eyes.... As this is the official last campaigning day, we would like to leave you on a high end note thanks to a project that embodies the spirit of uniting and celebrating our Italian community worldwide: the " " by Roby Santini (which you would recall being a close friend to our Joe D'Ercole and to our Italian community in Brisbane). "The beauty of our Italian culture relies also in its music traditions which have been in the hearts of Italian migrants for generations. To keep that heritage alive, our Joe D’Ercole and Roby Santini, who is an international and national pop-folk songwriter, came up with a fantastic idea to pay homage to our Italian culture and Italians around the world. With the aim of preserving and passing down traditions & stories to the new generations, the Italiani nel Mondo music project was then born.
