23.01.2022 My poor engine stopped. Apparently doesnt like being clogged up with mud etc and it overheated. I was rescued, the engine and I transported back to Mildura, where the great blokes at Baldwin Boats flushed the engine out and said that it was going to be OK! Phew! The Tinglee was towed onto Wentworth by the QE2.

17.01.2022 Our new eighth edition is selling very well. Towns along the Murray have a good supply and sales from our web site are very steady. Everyone likes the new look book. Hope you do too.

16.01.2022 A little action shot of a snaggy section. (Yes, Mum, I was wearing the life jacket and the kill cord whilst filming and steering!) And they said I didnt need a Go Pro Camera!

13.01.2022 The eighth edition is now available from our web site and from retail outlets. We leave on a promotion trip this week. Maureen

12.01.2022 These are our helpers on this last revision trip. Many thanks to all. The information gathered is now being compiled into the new eighth edition and is almost complete. Graphic Print in Adelaide will be printing for us and hope to have the new book out by end of October.

12.01.2022 Canal created for environmental flows to Perricoota/Koondrook Forest

12.01.2022 Maureen and Barry hard at work

10.01.2022 Threatening rain and ever increasing traffic on the river makes us work hard to get to Torrumbarry.

08.01.2022 Many apologies for the sketchy posts. While there is fairly good reception for the Telstra phone, there is only one "bar" most of the time and very little internet connectivity. We spent last night on a clay bar, very close to the river. Great for easy access to our boats, but VERY galvanising this morning when it started to rain! We didnt want to get caught on a very muddy slippery site, trying to pack up. So we rolled up our swags in the dark! We pulled into Barham, a lit...tle tired and looking for a cabin, a tent site anything close and easy access to the river. Nothing. Then the Fabulous Captain Ash of the Tour Boat Matilda, waved a cup of coffee at me, and of course I put in, followed very closely by Maureen and Barry. A lovely cuppa and scones, jam and cream followed! Capt Ash very kindly offered us his private mooring a little further downstream, and due to the lack of camping spaces, we gratefully accepted. Cheers for now! Lisa See more

04.01.2022 Another video of a typical morning

04.01.2022 We are having a lovely lovely time in the very kind and generous care of the Torrumbarry Wier Lockmaster's home. Thankyou so much Faye and Terry! We are enjoying your company so much, and the great red....

01.01.2022 A VERY crowded section of the river over Easter

01.01.2022 We have had a lovely busy rest day. Refuelling. This isnt really very easy as the boats are a couple of metres down a steep bank. with slippery mud at the bottom to send our feet under the boat! No mishaps yet. Some lovely helpful blokes helped with my fuel tanks. We have been out for coffee, had our photos taken (Im with very famous people, you know) We have done our tent work. Ive installed my new -10 sleeping bag. This is to ensure that the beautiful warm nights continue...! Maureen and Barry are charged up and ready to go. There was some debate as to whether we pull out here and go to Mildura, as the next 90km stretch is in a falling river, and over sand bars. As the river is very low anyway, there is the possibility we may have to get out and push! Nearly time for a sundowner - cheers, Lisa See more
