Title:Aboriginal Carer & Recruitment Support Officer Classification:Community Services Worker Grade Location:Wagga Wagga Hours:FT up to 38hrs per week Position Objective The Carer & Recruitment Support Worker will work closely with the Carer Support Team and Carers to support high quality placements for children and young people. The successful person will have a good understanding of the Permanency Support Program (PSP) and the ability to work effectively with a range of people from all backgrounds. We are currently seeking a Carer & Recruitment Support Worker who is passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people. This position is responsible for supporting the Carer and Recruitment worker in the recruitment, training and ongoing support of Riverina Medical & Dental Aboriginal PSP Carers Position Responsibilities Work with the Carer and Recruitment worker to support carers and conduct recruitment activities including responding to carer enquiries, organising carer training & carer supports groups and any other identified duties relating to carers. Process all Probity checks and household Safety checks for Foster Carer and Kinship Carer applications Participate in Foster Carer assessment interviews and activities Assist Carer and recruitment worker to facilitate Carers Support Group Conduct and assist with Carer reviews Prepare assessment, information and resource folders for Carers Assist with data entry for the NSW Carer Register and Riverina Medical & Dental Aboriginal Corporation Data System in accordance with regulatory compliance requirements Organise and participate in Carer training events Provide assistance for foster care events Flexibility to work outside of usual business hours from time to time Other duties as required Contact HR Manager on 0269235300 for Job Package Closing date 11.09.2020.
