19.01.2022 From today, Victorian and New South Wales NDIS participants who rely on face-to-face supports and assistance with their daily living will be able to claim the c...ost of personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks. These changes apply where coronavirus (COVID-19) is active in your community, and the use of PPE is consistent with current health advice. NDIS participants in Victoria and NSW will be able to use an existing support item (Low Cost Disability-Related Health Consumables) to claim on the cost of PPE. Additionally participants living in their own home who test positive for COVID-19 and are required to self-isolate or quarantine will also now be able to claim for related cleaning costs. The ability to claim for the cost of PPE will be extended to Victorian and New South Wales’ providers allowing workers to continue delivering essential disability supports to NDIS participants. 17.01.2022 BEST TEAM EVER. Look at this smashing team. A big thank you for all your hard work and dedication in supporting our clients and their supports through 2020. Enjoy your time off, reboot the batteries, love your time with family and friends and do something special for yourself. Thank you from Rich and myself.

17.01.2022 Big News we have a new home. Riverina Family Services crew are sad to say we are leaving the team at Wagga Hearing Support and moving to our own building at 99 Gurwood Street. We will officially be in by the end of next week and are so looking forward to inviting more people down, to enjoy the space, learn and grow. More news will follow with specific move date.

17.01.2022 Important message just in case this happens.

17.01.2022 When we complain our kids just want attention, change it up and wonder ‘are my kids needing connection’. Xx

15.01.2022 Quick Update. The RFS team remain working from home for the time being. We are seeing and visiting participants 1:1 and their families and supports. We love a walk and talk. Our response time may be a little slower than usual, due to managing life etc but we will return your call/email. Some team members have taken some leave and a well earned break however will be in contact on their return if you require some help and assistance.... Like everyone our video conferencing skills are improving and we are realising the benefits that have arisen due to COVID-19. We are thinking of everyone, please stay safe and be kind to yourself. Stacey and the Team. (Only photo I have of the staff team apart from Amanda Lee, so she gets a special mention)

10.01.2022 I like this early on a Friday morning, end of the week and my friend shared this. I’m sure their are plenty out their that can relate.

09.01.2022 It's been awhile, apologies. We have all been a little underground, trying to wrap our heads around what has happened and what the future will look like and for how much longer. RFS have been working busy at home and changing many of our supports to online. This has been challenging but has also provided time for innovation and creative thought. The opportunity to introduce and educate our wonderful participants around social media and video conferencing, it has been a fu...nny and exciting time. I am taking this time myself, to take a step back and reflect on the year just gone. Think about our service, it's delivery and how we may do things better. Looking at life, becoming more grounded and creating time and opportunity to enjoy the important things in life which is family, friends and my own personal health and well being. Striking that perfect balance and going back to moving to the beat of my own drum. I encourage you all to do the same. A little homework. Sit quietly and look for five things, smell five things and hear 5 different sounds. It takes 5 minutes a day and can make all the difference.

04.01.2022 Hi Wagga locals. Went into Jardines this morning to get a coffee and as usual was greeted with a smile. This was on their blackboard in the entrance and brings into sharp focus the importance of supporting local businesses. So if you need a coffee, pop into Jardines.
