06.01.2022 CULTURAL CONNECTIONS FOR ABORIGINAL CENTRE There are plans to restore the Riverland's Aboriginal Cultural Centre based at Glossop, to become an arts, educa...tion and culture hub for the region. Life Without Barriers' Sam Mitchell has recently started hosting some of his cultural connection sessions for local Indigenous men at the site. He's planning to engage his group to help clean up the centre and pay respect to the Elders who previously ran it. Mr Mitchell said it's about creating a safe space for young Aboriginal men and giving them a sense of ownership over it. "If they're passing through with family members, they can sit there and say 'well I've done that. I've given back to my community'," he said. : ABC Riverland
