08.01.2022 MYTH: Deep Tissue massage should hurt or be painful or it mustn’t be doing anything. TRUTH: Deep Tissue massage refers to the deep tissue of the muscle body. Not applying deep pressure to a muscle. Applying deep hard pressure to muscles can actually cause more damage to a muscle causing it to contract instead of relax. During a treatment with me you may not feel that deep pressure that we have become accustomed to from the past but you will feel the relief of muscular pain a...nd contraction. My aim is not to cause further damage to your muscles by applying hard deep pressure. My aim is to stretch and relax your muscles an bring warmth to them to allow them to relax and repair.
