23.01.2022 The Year 10/11 Agriculture class is udderly excited to announce some moos: we are expecting 3 calves in February! Last week we were lucky enough to have Dr Sophie from Clare Valley Vets pregnancy test our cows. What a moovolous opportunity.

21.01.2022 Today the year 9s were over the moooon to be involved in the virtual cows create careers presentation day with 6 other schools! They dominated the school quiz section and enjoyed lunch donated by SADA and provided by the Emporium Bakehouse. Well done to our winning school team, the full cream dream team on their top effort!

19.01.2022 RDHS Green Tomato Pickles will be available at the Manoora Xmas Twilight Market on Friday 13 November from 4.30pm-8.30pm. Small jars $3 and large jars $5. A delicious Christmas present or great opportunity to stock up ahead of the festivities.

19.01.2022 As part of their Health assessment looking into raising awareness for Men’s mental health, a group of year 11 students have signed up for the Mullets for Mental Health fundraiser run by the Black Dog Institute. The boys will grow a mullet during the month of September, hoping to get people talking about mental health whilst raising money to go toward the Black Dog Institute. 19.01.2022 Today the participants from the 2020 Operation Flinders team (Tango 1) received their certificates from the Mayor before spending the day with their Team Leaders. A great opportunity to reunite and share stories. A huge Thankyou to all the sponsors and people who made this trip possible.

16.01.2022 Year 8 camp at Victor Harbor - day one was full of outdoor adventures as we built our tribes and began our tribe competition



16.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We would like to update everyone on the events that are coming up. Please understand that the school is trying to reduce the amount of visitors we have on school grounds so a lot of events will be parent/caregiver free and we ask that you respect this directive from the Department. * Year 8 round tables - no parents/caregivers attending - rescheduled for 26/11/2020 * Year 11 camp - cancelled, letters have been sent through post to families ... * Year 7 transition day - rescheduled for 27/11/2020 * Year 11 exams - cancelled * Governing Council meeting - rescheduled to 2/12/2020 * Year 8 camp - continuing in Week 8 * Week 8 Rich Tasks and Business Week will continue as normal * Week 9 Activities Week will go ahead but all excursions have been cancelled. Activities will continue on-site * Presentation Night has been changed to an Awards Assembly on 8/12/2020. This will be held after lunch and no families or guests will be invited on-site Thank you all again and please contact the school if you have any questions or would like anything clarified. 15.01.2022 Year 12 Health students from RDHS & Balaklava HS completed their First Aid certification today. As you can see from the photos, they got the opportunity to act out some creative scenarios as they learnt their new skills!

14.01.2022 Week 5 was National PE Week and our Year 10 Health students planned a fun filled week of lunchtime activities for students to participate in - check out the video to see some of them in action!

12.01.2022 First day of the school wether competition, the RDHS show team had to lead their wethers up the ramp and get them scanned and weighed. They did a fantastic job handling their wethers. Looking forward to a long competition day tomorrow.

09.01.2022 A big day at the pool for our students today! Congratulations to all students who participated both in the water and by coming along to support their teams Thank you to all of the parents and family members who came along to cheer on and support our swimmers and help out with timekeeping throughout the day! Well done to Glynn Webb who won the overall point shield, and to all of the individual age champion medallists. A special congratulations to our staff team who smashe...d the year 12s in the staff v students relay at the end of the day Stay tuned for more posts with some video action from throughout the day...

07.01.2022 Today we took udder delight in unveiling our Picasso cow Moolisa at assembly. Thank you to all of the students that gave up their lunch times to make Moolissa look so moovolous! The theme for the design was ‘paddock to plate’. Can you spot all of the delicious dairy treats? We find out the results for the competition on the 1st of December. For now Moolissa will be in the front office to greet people and eventually make her way over to the library to read the Moos.

07.01.2022 Thank you to Michelle from the Pelvic Pain Foundation of Australia who came and ran sessions with our year 9 & 10 students yesterday. A great opportunity for our students to gain new information about Endometriosis and pelvic pain.

04.01.2022 Dear parents/caregivers As per the directions from Chief Executive of the Department for Education and the SA Premier, the school will be closed for 6 days (inc. the weekend except for the children of essential workers and vulnerable children). Students will be taking work materials and devices home if needed for online learning options. After Wednesday 25 November further communication will come out once we know further details. A list of all the events that have been cancelled currently are; Yr 8 Round Tables, Yr 11 Exams, Yr 11 Camp, Yr 8 Camp, Governing Council dinner, Yr 12 Dinner and Transition. We appreciate your understanding through this unprecedented time and hope you all stay well.
