15.01.2022 WA Police Forces Emergency Operations Unit recently held a land search training activity at Whiteman Park. It was an opportunity for Police and DFES State Emer...gency Service volunteers to get together and simulate a large search operation involving multiple search teams and an assortment of command resources. The activity was supported by Whiteman Park and included a visit from the Minister for Police, The Hon Michelle Roberts MLA. With the support of horses, dogs and a remotely piloted aircraft, or drone, all search areas were covered quickly and thoroughly. 09.01.2022 Grab that washing in, secure outdoor pets and drive to conditions - Strong Cold Front approaching. Its going to be a cold, wet and windy weekend in southwester...n districts of Western Australia, with thunderstorms and small hail likely in some areas. A cold front will pass over Western Australias South West Land Division on Friday night and Saturday morning, bridging a burst of showers and cold, blustery winds. Behind the front, showers and gusty winds will persist through Saturday and Sunday as a complex low pressure system passes to the south of the state. The cold air being driven north by this low could cause thunderstorms and small hail over parts of the states southwest on Saturday and Sunday, including Perth. A sheep graziers warning has been issued for the Lower West, South West, South Coastal, South East Coastal, Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt forecast districts on Saturday. More weather alerts may come out over the weekend. After reaching 23 degrees on Friday, Perth is only forecast to hit 19 degrees on Saturday and 17 on Sunday. This would be the citys coldest weekend since mid-July. 1cm Of Snow Is Forecast For #BluffKnoll #StirlingRanges For Saturday Night. #GreatSouthern #WAWeather #WesternAustralia EASE WA | @ParmeliaWeatherWA

01.01.2022 There’s a new kid on the Emergency WA block! DFES and the Department of Health (HealthyWA) have partnered to customise the Emergency WA website (www.emergency.w...a.gov.au) to include map-based ‘human pandemic’ warnings if they’re needed. The website is now equipped to show localised outbreaks of COVID-19 and provide targeted information to communities impacted. While we hopefully don’t have to use it, this enhancement is part of the WA Government preparation for potential outbreaks of COVID-19 in WA. To help keep the community safe, remember to: Practise good hygiene and wash your hands regularly. Maintain a physical distance from others where possible. Stay home if you’re sick. If you’re experiencing symptoms, get tested immediately. Stay home and self-isolate if you are waiting for your test results.
01.01.2022 Have a read through the flyer below, & save the number 132 500 to your phone. Remember to keep your torches handy, & your devices charged.
01.01.2022 A big congratulations to Tol Mofflin for completing his land search team leader this weekend, & a big thank you to everyone who put their hand's up to be his search team for the assessment.
